On memory here:

Tallboy     A streamlined 12000lb bomb, developed in Britain during WWII.   The Tallboy came down at supersonic speed and buried itself deep in the ground before exploding.  (Easy)

9.    Edgar Kain (NZ) 03/1940, I thought he died showing off some aerobatic manuevers in his Spitty.  Could be wrong though (Had to zone-out for about 10 minutes on this one!)  Brain is now fried.

You have just advanced to the "not a dweeb" class for not knowing your "Top Gun" trivia.
Now a "dweeb" would know that it wasn't Cougar, it was Maverick. But since I'm "not a dweeb" either I'm not sure.

Cougar was the F14 pilot that lost his nerve in the beginning of the movie and turned in his wings, thereby giving Maverick and Goose their trip to TopGun.

2. Who was the First woman to fly in a US plane on a Combat mission Jan. 22 , 1943

Famed LIFE magazine photographer Margaret Bourke White was the first woman to fly with a United States combat squadron over enemy territory. Despite the risks, she was given permission to fly with “Little Bill,” a 12th Air Force B-17 in Algeria on Jan. 22, 1943. She said later she minded only the 38-degree-below-zero temperature while hanging out over the open bomb bay. She recalled how her breath froze in her oxygen mask hose and her fingers went numb. She tried shooting photos with her head and shoulders exposed at the radio operator’s gun hatch, but the slipstream was too strong. She finally took most of her photos from the waist gun positions.

Edgar "Cobber" Kain flew Hurricanes in the Battle of France with 73 Squadron.  His unit was recalled to England as France was bing over run.  After taking off for his flight home he did a victory roll over the French airfield were 73 Squadron had been stationed.  While doing the victory roll he crashed upside down and died.  'Cobber' Kain had 17 kills at the time of his death.

Well, I found sources that list Kozhedub's victories variously at 59, 61, 62, 63 and even one source claiming 73. The current "official" russian claim is 62, as you said. Interestingly enough, I have his book ( or one of his books) where he himself claims 61.

So I guess I owe ya an appology for trying to be a snooty know-it-all ;)

As for the cheap shot at WB.... in the words of an old WB legend... :)
