Man it's like pulling teeth to find out when events are running.  I made a special point today midday to search the forums - nada.  Just checked and even now, not a word in general forum, and there has not been a post in Special Events Annoncements in 4 days and that was for Sunday's event.  There is no calendar (actually WORSE than that there is a calendar but it is blank).  

This has been going on for a bit, if you event guys need help - please ask.  What is the trouble with posting a calendar of events?  But this is no way to run a railroad, much less promote events participation.  

(I see now there was a post in Special Event General  -  2 hours before the event started.)

We are switching from a CM controlled calendar to HTC controlling it.  HTC has been focusing on 1.10 and have placed us on the backburner.

daddog usually posts weekly giving the schedule of things to come.  There were not many events in the past few weeks due to the con and some issues with lag in the SEA.  

The SEA is now fixed and we are once again getting the weekly events up and running.  The Friday TOD starts up again on the 23rd and the Sunday TOD starts on the 25th.

Another way to find out what is going on is to join Jordi's mailing list.  He sends out reminders similar to daddog's post in the Events forum.

Why private email?  No need to reinvent the wheel here. Would take 30 seconds to give people, all people, proper notice.

Edit to add:  Can we have a plain old ugly text version of this months events right now?  I will personaly see to it that plain ordinary folks know what is happening if you do.  I don't think anyone cares how pretty the calendar looks, it is the information that counts.

Not everyone checks the AH BB board everyday. Some who fly may not even be members on the AH BB System.

We created the AH Special Events Email list as another way to spread the word about Special Events.

I send updated info out to the email list as soon as we have something official to post.

WE basically have 3 groups - the TOD Group - the Scenario group and the Snapshot / Race Group.

TOD's can be found in the TOD Forum.

Scenarios can be found in the Announcement / Special Events Forum.

Wed Snapshot evenst JUST finalized thier revised Schedule yesterday. Either they send me the info or I ask if it is ready to be publisied. The timing was not there for tonights event.

For Snapshot/Race and Scenarios and oany other special type events we TRY to post and send emails to the AH Special Events Email list.

Best bet is to keep an eye on the forums AND signup for the SE Email list.
