First frame of the new squad only TOD series. The ASSASINS had just successfully escorted our Ju-88s to their target and back and simultaneously intercepting a southbound b17 raid, thinning its numbers by half. Our 109s used every last drop of fuel returning to base, while the message buffer relayed stories of great success by our brethren elsewhere in France.
Refueled and rearmed, we set out in search of the remnants of the Allied airforces. What followed was possibly the best fight I have ever had in a flight sim. Historical matchups, short icons, no radar, no respawning, and FDBs dropping like flies....it had it all.

Check it out. After fester had just shot a pony of my 6 I looked down and saw my left hand shaking, and noticed my heart was ready to jump out of my chest. I haven't had that feeling in a long time. Big <S> to all the CMs and COs who made it possible.
Too bad Hangtime wasnt there too, then our victory would have been complete. :)

It was incredible. For any of you who are thinking about participating in this or are on the fence - you have GOT to check this out. It's a whole 'nuther dimension to flying Aces High.
Squads still welcomed and single flyers as well - though you must pre-register. Highly recommended. European friendly times are in the works.

I was nauseous and throwing up all evening, but managed to go on to about 04:55 (that's 4.55am for you American types) my time. Then I hear it's about to start, my tummie explodes and I have to go to bed.
Would be nice if the times were a bit more Euro friendly; try setting up a special event where Americans have to stay up to, or get up at, 05:00 :).
Thanks for working on more Euro-friendly times; this one is decidedly not that :)

I had 2 guys fly as guests who were from England (Madmaxx) and Nothern Germany (leitwolf). They did well flying with lack of sleep.
A big <Salute> to these guys and the others stayed up late lookin for a good fight :)

My heart was beating like crazy too!
Probably coz I was browsing my porn collection while the Luftwuffles picked their noses and we rtb'd after bombing the sheet outta them ;-)

We had 7 buffs to start and came home with 3.
Honestly I think that was the best use of 109's vs B-17's I have ever seen. Very impressed. Did you lose any fighters?

Great fun! We came out of the clouds and dropped on our target then ran for home. FDB's kept more LW bz as we made it home.

ts had to ditch his 109 after his engine got hit but he made it to friendly shores before putting down

daddog that was literally the best buff box ive ever seen in the game
this event is great, gets rid of the walk on dweebs and puts u against the guys who know what they're doing.
i enjoyed it alot even tho i was only assasin death :(
btw fatty nice kill. i looked at the film you were right in my blind spot and i didnt see u till way too late

Very fun! Ran into ASSassins and ended up alone with one of 'em as the rest of the FDBs battled the others. Was on his 6 the whole time and was chasing after him when I got word only one Assassin was down and all of my squaddies were toast. At that point I decided to run away! It didn't work, as they chased me down like the dog I am and killed me dead. :)

Great job regurge. I had a blast friday night and am looking forward to next week. This is the most fun I've had in an Aces High multi-frame scenario. Squad based is what its all about. :)

StSanta I'm sorry to hear you were ill and couldn't take part to this immensely fun event. Hearing the tires screech on runway after a successful mission is unforgettable...
Otoh, I live in Belgium and I also had to get up around 0440 to make sure everything worked smoothly at start time (troublesome joystick...).
It's hard to get up that early (especially when you went to bed at 0215 like I did...), but it has some advantages as well:
- Connections are usually pretty good.
- No wife / kids to blow your SA to hell :D
