Sounds ALOT like the USA! LOL!
Once upon a time, Germans had a world-class work ethic. But as the economy prospered and the welfare state
grew over the years, it gave way to a world-class German leisure ethic. Germans spend quite a bit of time on this.
The German daily S ddeutsche Zeitung recently published four pages on "the Science of Vacation." A lead article
discussed "The Problems of Relaxation: A Phenomenology of a Distorted Perception." In another piece, a
professor from the University of Marburg speculated that certain vacations could result in a decrease in IQ of about
three-quarters of a point. Having fun has become serious business in Germany.

i think in correct kraut this would be 'ich bin slacker' - when JFK said "ich bin ein berliner", that translated to "i am a jelly doughnut" (in the kraut language a 'berliner' is a pastry quite like a jelly doughnut) in correct german to say "i am a berliner" (meaning "i am a guy from berlin") one would say "ich bin berliner"

Wondered how long it would take someone to bring that up.
Ich bin Lehrer. ;)

I heard that "Long Drive" in german is "gross fart". If this is true I hope to be hitting many gross farts next weekend.
-
You a hacker too, eh MT? :D
We got a group here at work that likes to play about every week. We all work weekends, so we usually play on Tues or Wed mornings. Our unusually mild summer here in north Texas has been very good for golfing...but its starting to get hotter now. :( Fired an 87 a few weeks ago myself....not that great, but its my best score so far. Normally shoot in the mid 90's.

Hey Freeze, help me out, is it "Ich bin ein Slacker" or "Ich bin Slacker". sort of like "Ich bin ein Idiot", or "Ich bin Idiot".

Ya musta missed my last sentence MT. I am a mid 90s guy also. The 87 was just a combination of some excellent drives coupled with excellent iron shots. Usually I have one of the two working...but never both at the same time. :D
