I am having a weird problem. Just recently - when I try to log in, it wont connect - seconds just keep going. If I cancel and try alt route, same result. If I log out, and come back in - sometimes it will let me. Sometimes I will sit in the maproom with no one on roster, get a switched to UDP message, then connection lost.
And, in the DA tonight, the clipboard showed 8 people - and there were none. In addition, it was dark - completely dark and has been for most of the day.
And, I dont understand :)

I heard from someone that the DA was broken today, not sure about that.
As for the connection issues, do you have a dsl/cable/other internet connection sharing router hooked up? or a firewall running?
If not, it's entirely possible that your ISP was just being crappy. Try doing a traceroute.

Had the same problem for some time last night, it fixed itself. No idea what caused it, pingplotter showed a good trace with no packetloss.

Had this about a year or so, I fixed it by reinstalling DirectX back then.

Are you running winXP? How about a firewall program?
When I first saw the title of the post, I thought you were going to say that there arent enough major injury accidents in your local to support your work.

Yes, running XP - no firewall (that I know of).
LIke Urchin said, problem really fixes itself. Just wnodering what is causing it in the first place.

Nim--
Win XP has a built in firewall that may have setup AH on its intruder list. I really dont know much about how to setup the options on the winXP firewall, but a squaddie of mine used to have fits with it before AH voice came along. his machine would lock up RW on all our boxes when he would log in:) Any case, he figured it out that it was WIN XP's firewall. I personnally use a MCaffee firewall na dit doesnt like AH at all. I can set AH up on the exlusion list but any time I write a change in settings within the game, my firewall thinks AH is an intruder and blocks it.
Just food for thought. I hope you get it worked out.

PS-- quit kicking me

the XP firewall by default doesn't care about AH in my experience. Sounds like an isp issue... or a router.. but i am guessing you don't have one of those ..

FYI, I use Norton Internet Security and it works fine w/ Aces High.

I am having the same problem Nimitz. Sometimes I have to reboot several times to get into the game. It seems random, far as I can tell. Very frustrating.:(
