Mass graves of Taliban and Al Queda were found in N. Afghanistan. Are We Responsible for our allies? (http://www.msnbc.com/news/795153.asp?0dm=C14RN)
-
Yes, we should have dropped leaflets to our Allied tribesmen "Please do not treat prisoners poorly, even though they've treated your population like germ-fested dogs for the last 5 years"
-
Your not responsible for your allies. But, you can tell alot about someone by who they hang out with. And they can tanish the, what might be, honorable orignal goals of the endevour. Leaving the taste, not of victory, but of ashes, in the mouth of freedom.
PS: Does anyone know how I could have made the metaphore more unwieldy?
-
Leaving the acrid dry taste, not of sweet victory, but of the ashes of the dead and dieing, in the untainted virginal mouth of freedom.
Hows that?
:D
-
I would have saved more money and left them exposed for the vultures to eat. Save the gas and extra manpower.

The taste of sweet victory is tainted with the stench of atrocity upon the palate of the righteous.
(Sorry MT, but an editor would never allow you to say "untainted virginal mouth"...... Unless you're writing porn, anyway.)
-
Whats the big deal?
We need to respect the traditions and cultures of these modern day midevil types. They are really quite retarded in their evolution!

While yours is undoubtedly better Elfie, you have not met the criteria of the excercize:

Now go back and try again dammit!!

I was fighting the Tally bin ladens in "The Stan" and told the prisoners "No soup for you!, No water, no food, no air, no soup! ONE YEAR!"
-
During the prison revolt where a few U.S. servicemen were killed, our Afghan allies were actually documented executing wouned Al Queda prisoners. There were even eye witness acounts of wounded Al Queda having their heads bashed in with large rocks.
But, you know what they say, Can't Live Forever.

LOL MT, here's one from the Gulf War-
Like Goldilocks sampling porriage the American people have finally found a paltapable war- not too cold like Korea nor too hot like Viet Nam, this war tastes Just Right.
However, back on assignment- unweildy food metaphors-
The fruit salad of warfare is made up of sweet cherries of victory, spoiled banana slices of regrettable atrocity and sour grapes from the Left. Don't expect every bite to taste good, but if you ordered it then finish your plate.
Or-
We have fast food and fast war and, like McDonald's you don't serve millions every day without accidents happening. We might be better served if we ignored the occasional fried rat who makes it onto the bun of a Big Mac and instead concetrate on the cooked cockroaches in the French Fries that so often go unnoticed.
-
I think its inexcusable to sumarily execute prisoners like that.
We could have tortured them for information.

heh. I'm sure if the Alliance asked, we'da been glad to ship 'em rubble from the WTC to cap the hole those fediddlein taliban toejamheads wound up in. I may just fed-ex my next steaming load to 'em get the fill started..
anybody got an address?
-
How do you go about getting stench on a pallet? Anyway, your link don't work. And I was looking forward to seeing some dead rag head pictures.
-
I'm so glad not a single person sympathizes with them ..
I'll have to not come back and read any more of this thread because I'm sure some da will come along and ruin it.
It's a big kitty litter box with a bunch of buried turds in it. At least they won't be stinking up the place.
-
You mean someone mass executed a bunch of Taliban/Al-Queda? .... humph, whaddya know. Ok back to Spongebob.
-
Wish the link worked.
It would be a pity if they were already dead, when they buried them. Being crushed to death, or buried alive, seems like exactly the right end for these boys.
BTW. On a related issue. One that actually matters. 2 of our special op boys got hit over there today. No word on who the shooters where.
-
Iraqi are probably watching that and showing to their soldiers what happens when you surrender to americans.
Well, we will still defeat them even if many choose to fight to the death rather then surrender. It would cost us a bit more dead soldiers but who is counting.
As fo being civilised, who cares if our prisoners get slaughtered in most abrbaric ways - we have eight hundred kinds of toilet paper. If that is not civilisation, I don't know what is...

Monk: They are "Scrubs" they will never fight to the death.
That's OK - we will have plenty of containers on hand for them...
