read at frugals world that the team that made the Cougar for guilmont was axed in a re-structuring.
What a shame..what a wonderful piece of kit...I still chuckle every time I fly with mine.
-
you chuckle because its so amazingly good that its hilarious? ;)
too bad man, does that mean they are not making new handles for it?
-
Actually, Guillaume was layed off, The Block and I are still here and supporting the product, and I think James will never stop helping people out.

Ya animal..I know its sad but it gives me joy just to use the thing after all the crap joysticks I have been through.
Good to hear that moon...

Just a minute! I don't see anything at Cougar world or Frugals world about this. They are axing the cougar? This is big news. What is happening exactly?
-
? read moons post. above...he pretty much explains it.
-
Moon,
I am glad to see you post here! Thanks for the reply.

Well, you could classify me as a lurker.... I check around boards that discuss the Cougar (but I stay away from the newsgroups..... nasty stuff) but mainly post at CW. When I saw this thread, I couldn't resist putting things straight. Now as for the "No more Cougars" idea..... not true, based on the success of the product, it should go through another manufacturing run. Support will still be there, particularly software and firmware.
Regards,
Mark

Moon,
Good news and thanks for the update. I've had my Cougar just over 2 months and love it.

Moon, as I said over on the CW forums I'm glad you and the other guys will be around to update the firmware and software but was'nt Guillame working on an updated gimbal system? what will happen to that, also what about spare parts in future?
