I LIKE flying the second best planes. I get a kick out of beating the so-called "best" aircraft.
But the C.202 is a bit TOO much of a second line fighter even for me. The C.205 is as far down the list as I go there.

It just feels more rewarding to get the kills in the 202, La5FN and 109G6, than if flying the 205, La7 and 109G10.
+ you can blame it on the plane when you get shot down.

Snefens, the La-5FN is an excellent fighter below 18K. Better than the C.205. The C.202 is there becouse ... well, I dunno why.

Was gonna say, you can get kills in tbe La-5FN (and lots) and the G6. The 202 is a beautiful plane; it's fun as hell, but with its guns and speed it is an assist machine. You pretty much have to catch someone at the top of a loop to have him in guns range long enough to deliver a lethal burst.

I fly the 202 every once in a while when I get bored.
I remember saying to someone after I was killed that if I had cannon he would be dead. I wasn't saying it to be a butt hole but because he crossed right in front(I could have spit on him) of me and I had a perfect shot but didn't have the guns to bring him down.

Yup, went into furball fever last night in the 202 for the first few fights. You can get on just about anyone's six, but you have to be there a long time to kill them. It is a smooth, fun ride, but as Mighty1 said you often lose the fight because the guy you are against has the cannons.
Had a good one with Zigrat last night where his SpitV finally finished me. He used the .303's to finish me, but had I had even one cannon early in the fight... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Gatt, meant to say that it's why I fly 202 and not 205, La5 not La7 and G6 not G10. Not that 205 is better than La5.

I was in my c202 whit my wingman, we killed 3 enemy AC (2 F4U and 1 spit IX) the last spit start running away!!!

I like the C202. It's an Underdog, just like the Ju88. And I like them both (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
It's fun to fly with it. Yes its slow, got terrible MG's. But in my oppinion its got a good roll rate.
Maybe is the reason that this game is fun for me and not a competition.

My 1st flight in a C.202 this tour resulted in me downing a Fw190D-9 and an La7 before being downed by a P-51D (I think I got it too).
My 2nd flight resulted in about a 5 minute turn fight with multiple aircraft, I remember an F4U-1C (the guy that got me, he said it was a cheap shot after the others hed bled all my e), 1 or 2 Spits and 1 or 2 N1K2s. Unfortunately I didn't get any on my 2nd flight.
Maybe I'll take one up again tonight.
Oh, I fly it for the challenge and perk points when I fly it.

I too fly the Ju88 when I need a medium bomber. Earlier this tour I set a new bomber kill record for myself while flying the Ju88. I was attacked simultaneously by an Fw190 of some kind, an La7 and an N1K2. I caused damage to each that resulted in either them bailing out (Fw190) or something later that got me the kill (crashing while landing?). Later in the flight, trying to get my now pulverized bomber home, I was attacked my another N1K2 and a Bf109. The N1K2 got there first and we blew eachother's left wings off, but as I was falling the Bf109 killed me so I didn't get credit for the 2nd N1K2. Thats better than I've ever done in a B-17 or Lancaster.

The 202 is my primary field defense ride. I had a blast last night at A10, defending it from the hordes of chogs, niks, lancs and P51s. During the fighting I got one of my best Lanc kills - reminded me of the stories I've read about the Winter War.
I had a 190 and 2 P51s one me, making BnZ passes at me. I managed to evade them though, and used every opportunity to grab more alt to reach the bombers above.
I managed to extend a little which gave me some time to climb south of the field. The lancs were making their bomb runs. I saw one of them coming south towards me, just having dropped some of his bombs. I was south of him, a little above. He flew straight under me and I split-s'd behind him, a few hundred feet lower and about 1k back. I quickly glanced back, the two ponies were busy further north, but one 190 and F4U were closing fast.
I dove a little to gain speed and flew under the bomber. I was safe from his guns there. I looked back again, the enemies were about 3k away - I was clear for now. I pulled my nose up to climb towards the Lanc, in the cover of its own tail. Hopefully the tail gunner won't see me.
As my gunsight filled up with the tail of the bomber, I was less than 70yds away from him. I opened up with all of my bb guns, concentrating the fire on the tail gun and elevators. Just as the left stabilizer fell off, the rear gunner woke from his dreaming. Only to fall asleep again - this time forever. The few shots he managed to fire flew past me harmlessly. As the right stabilizer blew off, I glanced back and saw the enemies about 1k behind me. I pulled hard on the stick, stomped on the rudder and dove into safety. In the distance I saw the Lancaster crash into the sea.

hmm.... C202.... maybe I'll have to give it a try I've been tryin new aircraft alot lately. Really love the 109F4 but the C.202 should be an interesting challenge. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

because there is nothing more satisfying than killing a 109g10, n1k or la7 in a 202.
I also enjoy the annoying capability it has. I thought the C202 was there so people like Citabria could fly it all the time and still be in the top 10 - no? But he seems to prefer the P38 which is - shal we say - a little bit better.

I think 3/4 of my 202 kills were manuever kills.

Ya know if we had a Rolling Perk Set then the 202 would become competitive like it was in WW2 for a while.

Flew it again tonight. Killed a P-51D and forced an F4U-1D to stall into the ocean, then returned to base and landed.

Don't underestimate the dreaded C.202. I flew two sorties with it this tour:
1st sortie got a Spitfire and a C47
2nd sortie got two Niks and a 109 I think
