Title: Gamma correction porked
Post by: Max on August 27, 2002, 04:07:20 PM
Yeah, I use gamma correction at night...so I'm a dweeb.

Since 1.10 release, the gamma correction won't work in the game...on the desktop yes. I've got a GF3 Ti200 and the latest nvida drivers (29.42) I'm running XP home.

Any ideas folks?

latest drivers are 30.82.

Dunno why yours aren't working...  I know in the past i had a case where some features were missing for unknown reasons.  I updated the drivers and they reappeared...

I just use monitor brightness myself.  Gamma adjustment is just more work than i can be bothered with.

I recently installed a new video card, an ATI All in Wonder 128. Since then I have had the same problem. I can not change my gamma settings in the game. On the desktop it works fine, but as soon as the game loads, the gamma settings return to normal and I can not see ANYTHING at night because it is soooo dark.
Changing my brightness settings does not work since the gamma application I use require the brightness and contrast to be turned all the way up to begin with.
Everything worked fine until I installed the vid card. Any Suggestions?

DT try this:
Do a Google search for Powerstrip. It's a freeware proggy which allows you to assign gama and other monitor controls to hot keys.

I grabbed it last week and my prollem went away.

Only problem.....I did the search, and the app is NOT free.
They want $30.
