I think the first image is a rare shot of the Saro S36 Lerwick undergoing trials.
If it isnt give us a hint please
as for the second I thinkg a P40N but am not that certain at all.

The first one bears some resemblance to a Coronado, past that I haven't a clue. The P-40 I would call an F model due to the 6 gun armament, the earlier style canopy, and the absence of the carburetor intake on top of the cowling (Merlin engined).

Check out the tail markings on the Helldiver to the left of the Flying boat. This should give an idea of Nationality.

Ok those markings, I cant make them out on this 15" monitor at 1024 res...
I am thinking possibly French Aeronavale.
I would say the Martin Mariner if it wasnt for the fact the Mariner has a twin tail config
How about this, which country originated that seaplane design?
