Really slow to load this a.m. and having timeouts from thier server. But what I've read is really enlightening and I'm looking forward to AH's evolution.
(Wargamer has replaced the void due to the loss of two good sitesfor sim news; Playnet drove Dogfighter.com right into the ground and iENSimHQ is far too biased now - and the articles are not as good there any more. Thanks Sabre and crew for the reallygood articles and wide spectrum of genres you cover!!)
Yea, I noted stuff on DogFighter.Com seemed really dated and pretty stale.
The wargamer site was slow, but I finally got to read the entire interview, not bad.

Another great interview
to Sabre and Wargamer and to Hitech for being so open about their plans and keeping us informed.

Yep, but only for a couple months at that point. So far, it's been working out pretty good.

Wargamer site has been slow or nonexistent all day for me. Once got to read two pages of the interview, and that's it. Site must be powered by hamster wheels. So what is the new tank in store for Aces High?

TIGER...

Tiger what? model? :)
thx

I'm betting on PzKpfw VI Ausf. E "Tiger"
Hmmm 88mm KwK 36/L51 - using AP (PzGr 40), 930 m/s muzzle velocity, penetrates 156mm armor-grade steel at 500m, 140 at 1000m and 110 at 2000m !

Finally got to read the entire wargamer article. Nice work, Sabre.
Hmmm, a TIGER tank? Great fun, but as destabilizing to ground warfare as the B-29 would be to the air war. Tigers ate Shermans and everything else by the dozens. Will be interesting to see the perks on that.
Of course the Tiger and B-29 were WWII masterpieces, so naturally they should be added, and if any company can do them right, it's HiTech Creations.

I still can't get to the site. Dang it.

Glad to see HT reads the boards...
Personally I would have like the first person shooter stuff moved ahead of the missions arena - that would have been a Biiiiiig boost to the player base as well as the MOHAA, RTCW, BG1942 style players might have been interested. I would have enjoyed that too, especially when I'm having a bad "air" day.
Still, its his puppy, glad he's still devoted to it's care and feeding! Sabre and HT!

I'm glad you guys liked the article. Dale was very gracious to grant the interview. Of course, I caught him before Happy Hour, so I might have got more juicy stuff out of him if I'd waited a few hours ;). Dale, if you're reading this, thanks again.

Computer Systems Engineer. I have no idea what I do. but I know I get paid.
Actually I handle clients, networks, software, servers, squeaky people Level 3 support. Develop and coordinate mass deployments watermelon and crap like that. Hell the list could go on.

Tony the Tiger! Weeee!
Question...Since we know its going to be perked, and probably allot, how are we going to keep our perks? A ditch or anything close to it and you've lost em. Will we get a new "warp back to whence you came button"? Will you absolutely have to take your objective and land there? I for one will run out of perks quickly if I have to drive 2 hours back to my original hanger...

not been able to view that interview yet..... damnit

I take advantage of people reading this thread; when you land your GV at a VBase, don't leave the vehicle on the tower's base texture (the green alpha'd disc), it gives a ditch, you can see the ground change the same as when coming onto the VBase ground from bumpy canyon grounds, the vehicle will move a bit as you go from one to the other.
