Hi ,
Am thinking about getting some external rudders.. Does anyone use the x45 with rudder pedals?
Any feedback appreciated

I've used 3 different types of pedals. They all worked good and I think it it a matter of feel as to which ones you might like. Right now I am using a set of hoffmans in one cockpit and thrustmaster in the others.
CH pedals worked good but I did not like the lack of resistance and lack of distance between the two feet
Hoffmans are as far a part as the thrustmaster and have about the same feel as the CH as resistance, none. What I like about these is no moving parts inside.
Thrustmaster has the feet spread far enough apart and it has a lot of resistance. When I jump from my main cockpit to one of the others I feel like my legs are in weight training.
The problem with no resistance is sometimes you don't realize you have one of the pedals pushed in. This will not happen with thrustmaster. Check to see if anyone near by has some just to sit at and push them for a minute.
Good luck

I just purchased the CH USB Pro Pedals and my X45 goes dead when I plug them in.
Where have I gone wrong?

Sorry, knew I forgot something in my post...
2.53 Ghz P4
1GB Memory
GeForce 4600 video
300w Power Supply
6 built in USB Ports
The only two things other than the rudder pedals that are active and attached are my Saitek and an APC UPS so I'm nowhere near limit on the system.
The pedals and stick both check out in Game Controllers, but the stick is dead in AH. All axis show 0(zero) on the Saitek. When I check the system with DXDiag, both the pedals and stick show up as OK.

OK, just got it working by accident. :)
The moment I re-assigned the roll axis to the X45 the whole stick became active in AH. Never thought I would have to re-assign the whole stick when I added pedals.
File that info for future reference.;)

there you go :)
Yes in the joystick set I set all buttons first to the X45 then choose Rudder then Pedals then Z axis ( i think its Z) for rudder
then calibrate the whole thing
