Title: Help !!!

Being new to the game and also being a PC moron could anyone please help me. I only downloaded the game a couple of days ago and I'm trying to learn the controls offline before making a fool of myself online but when I go to play after only a few minutes I get a complete lockup of my PC.
My system is P4 1.5gb 256mg ram  GF2 32mb videocard
I am redownloading just in case there was an error but I really would like some help if this is not the case.

Well, make sure all your hardware drivers are up to date.

and when they are all up to date then install the latest version of directx

I downloaded latest vidcard drivers and directx also limited my fps and it looks to have cured the problem. Many thanks for your help and now I just need more practise offline before submitting myself to a rapid online death, at least now tho I will get a chance to get used to the controls.
