Friend sent me this via email (the FAA report)
Don't know if it was reported in any of the local media out there. I've searched the Oregonian and such, no reports.
If you have any more info, I'd like to see it.

BD-5...isn't that one of those tiny little microjets? Those things are a testimony to thrust versus lift. The wings on those things are not more lift-generating that fins on a missle. I can only imagine the pilot's reaction when he realized he was a glider with a tank of fuel on board. :eek:
