Here's what you need to buy for Hitech. :)

LONDON (August 14, 2002 3:01 p.m. EDT) - Now on sale in the duty-free halls of London's Heathrow airport: the world's most expensive bottle of whisky, priced at 22,000 pounds ($34,000 dollars).

It's one of 12 remaining bottles of The Macallan 60-year-old single highland malt whisky, and its price sets a record for Scotch, Glasgow-based distiller Edrington Group said Wednesday.

"Along with an incredible flavor complexity, a bottle of The Macallan 60-year-old is a very good investment," Edrington Group's travel business manager William Owens said.

"A bottle from the same cask sold for 13,200 pounds in 1996 compared with 20,150 pounds in 2002," he said. The bottle sold earlier this year went to an anonymous collector.

Edrington Group, which also makes more humble brands like Old Grouse and Cutty Sark, expects the bottle - currently locked up in an airport safe - to catch the eye of "well-heeled, high-flying travellers."

If a $34,000 bottle of whiskey will get you a B-29, will a can of Bud Light get you a Swordfish?

No point asking for any bombers if Me163's are going to be perkless.

If B29 is introduced, how will they simulate radar operated guns?

AI?

Radar operated guns? THere were remote guns on the Superfort but not radar guided guns.
The b29 doenst have much to fear from a 163.

The 163 is not going to ruin bombing.  It will have a very short flight time, I think only a few minutes, limiting it's range.  Plus, it will only be availale around HQ.

Guess HiTech needs to add a poll asking who is willing to pay an extra dollar per month towards the Macallan. I'll contribute, provided he's willing to share. ;)

There are two famous B-29s.  Enola Gay and Bock's Car.  I'd personally rather see a B-24 though.

Speak for yourself twit.  There are hundreds of thousands of U.S. and Allied soldiers that came home alive because of that one B-29.  I dare you to go up to any living vet that was slated to take part in the invasion of Japan and ask him if he's proud of what that one B-29 did in on a early morning August day.

I thought they had Radar which allowed them basically too track the target and fired within a certain range.

What did they use Periscopes? I thought this created nausea in other planes like early B24...

Edit-

I always forget, to grab my books.

I understand your point ow view, i speak for myself;)

On place of US HQ i do that the same, but this is nothing to be proud.

imho if somone is proud bicose he kill other human life, even enemy, must be sick person.

This August day are not great victory in battle, not day of national proud, even if that finish war
Beter word for  all that US soldiers will be "greatfull", not praud.
Ask if u dont belive

An B-29 would be great, but a HE-111 would be better, and I feel we need the HE-111 more than we need B-29 :)

So how about a release with: HE-111, JU-87 (Stuka),T-34 (russian tank), sherman tank and a battleship(perked and player controllable like a PT boat.(should have a high perk kost thoug...)
We also should have the JU-52, slower than the C-47 but with the possibility to defend her self.

I guess that was my wantohavesoon list ;)

BTW, the reason so many ground vehicles is I like WWII online, but the flight model stunk. The ground vehicles would bring us closer to a full battlefield and more historical events could be created. Right up to the counter offensive in the ardennes with the king tiger. 88's could be created (non mobile) They could be spawned defensively around vehicle hangers(multiple spawn points around hanger).Alot of mudmovers out there who find the flight model difficult, this might get more bussiness? Just a thought.

Doesn't matter how many ground vehicles they introduce, all we will see are Flakpansies anyway.

lol, right, that's why I say make it a 10 perk:)

And I know this is a flight sim, but it would be cool to see more tanks and a ground vehicle event.

We're getting the Tiger tank in the next revision of AH (1.11).  I think HiTech has some good things in mind without falling into the pitfalls the Rat's did.

I believe that in the wargamer interview with HT, he mentioned something along the lines of perking the ostwind.

The ostie and panzer were to be perked if the next tank was the sherman.  The next tank (HT interview) will be the tiger.  Therefore, the ostie won't be perked. :)

FYI Fargo North Dakota is playing host to both a B29 & a B24 on loan to our Air Museum.

I believe both flew over from Duluth Mn Sunday, next sunday they fly to Bismarck.

Both these bombers are needed in the game IMO.
Along with the b25.

The B29 is "Fifi" and the B24 is "Diamond Lil".

b-29 would be great but it would have to come without a nuke (if the lanc cant have the bouncing bombs and the grand slam why should the b-29 be able to carry the most deadly bomb of all)

Hi Vorticon,

I don't know how to break it to you, but the B-29s were not actually built with an atomic bomb as part of the construction.

:p

Touche!

Turn, parry, dodge!  Spin, ha!  Thrust!

I would rather like to see the tallboy bombs modelled for the Lancaster, with some appropriate targets (sub pens, anyone?)
