I will be going to the museum to see the D13 in question at the restoration facility, so (unless the restorating guy/crew is as racist as the cashier) give me questions/inquiries/etc you'd like asked to said restorators.

Moot you Stud WTG, look up Armor model and Bomb weight Issues, also bomb load out options for Soveit(Il-2) and japanese planes, japanese Navy planes have 50 KG bombs and they should have 60KG bombs, once HTC fixes the metrice to pound weight issue this will have a more telling effect.

Ammo loads for buffs, since ammo cans could be passed between gun possition. the ammo load should be for the plane and not for each gun.

Left to do:

1) put the LW and Italian list in order.
2) add the last category: aircraft-aircraft comparisons.
3) finish completing the list of information posted since 1 year, and maybe go further if 4) needs it.
4) recapitulate each one of the issues, starting by the most interesting, if there is a tie, it goes in order of which I see first.

I'm awake for too long, too many things to do all day, I'm getting slow, hesitating and making mistakes. Zzz for now.

Some things just as interesting are being left out, like the icon system needing a facelift; though maybe this is the same thing to HTC as the gfx model, or the troops/cargo not being part of the DM.

Something needs to be done abou the bombsight on the bombers. While I agree the old sight was way too accurate the one we have now is useless as "TITS ON A BOAR HOG!" You do just as well aiming out the front gunners window.

While the sights weren't that accurate at least you could hit a city sized target with it.

I just went a year thru the AC forum looking at any threads with interesting information, and made that index.

It's useful so you have tabs on all the past discussions. Takes a while to sift through it all, though, so I'm not doing the rest of the archives yet.
Was a few hours for just this much.

To make it really complete, there'd have to be all the threads with important discussion/information from every forum since the beginning.

I'll get around to it eventually.
Whoever is interested can just add to the pile of info, start a new thread, whatever, it's just a practical list to keep together.

1. The over generous ability of the Boston III/A-20 to Dogfight.
2.  Missing ventral guns on the Boston/A-20 series.
3. Underpowered cannons on the A6M2 Zero.
4. Bug with LVT-4's HE shells not doing any damage.
5. Bug with M-8's 37mm shells apparently doing no damage to a vehicle at all.

nice work, moot.  Is there a HiTech admin around who has access to the apache config for http://www.hitechcreations.com?  The following rewrite rule will make those old links work:

RedirectMatch ^/forums/(.*) [url]http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/[/url]$1

That needs to be put in the vhost container for http://www.hitechcreations.com, and will make it intercept requests to /forums and redirect them to the correct URL.  I haven't tested that, of course, but it should accomodate both forum and post viewing.  Alternately, to only address post viewing use this:

Some wishes, not so much bugs:

Allow a half ammo loadout option, per actual Navy procedure manuals cited in previous discussions.

Also, per the same manuals, it's shown that the F4U-1D could also carry ordinance on the centerline rack in addition to the two wing pylons and rocket stubs, and that the aircraft had loads of 3xbombs and 8xHVAR specified.

Tiny Tim rockets!!!

Many F4U-1As in US service were land-based, and either had their arrestor gear or wing folding mechanisms removed at the field or were delivered without them installed at all. Allow an option in the hangar to fly a "land based" Corsair ONLY at land bases. 500lbs may not seem like much, but from watching E6B it actually makes quite a difference in performance. If anything, make it a perk option once perked ordinance is instated.
