Title: Any chance of real squadron markings for British aircraft?
Post by: Topcat on July 26, 1999, 06:00:00 AM
I notice the Spitfire IX in the screenshot (in the 'Flight Modeling') section of the web pages  http://beta.hitechcreations.com/spit9.jpg (http://beta.hitechcreations.com/spit9.jpg) ), has the squadron letters 'BB'.  As far as I am aware, no British squadron had the 'BB' letters.  The British a/c in WB are (I think) marked with letters linking them to the artists (eg 'N8' on the Seafire, for Natedog I think).

I'm not an expert on aircraft markings, but I've heard that it's only the British a/c (in WB) that aren't modelled after historical units (or even particular aircraft).

The aircraft in the AH screenshots look great (as do the WB ones) - can we have the same attention to the British markings as to the markings on aircraft from the other nations?
