latly I've opened channel 1 again for giving
.
unfortunatly, I quickly remebered why it's been squelched for almost the entire year I've been playing AH.
the last two guys were just enough to make me squelch it right back again. both are good experienced AH pilots.
the first blamed me for using a net warp, to kill his p-51 with my p-47 on the deck.
yes - there was a half a second no response. net stat was completly flat before and after that glitch. If you want to blame me for that, ok.
yes - you warped on my end too and I lost sight of you. the connection stops reciving as well as transmitting.
you died because you allowed an injured, slow p-47 a HO shot with a p-51B. plane and simple.
the second one was killed in his p-47 by my spit5. I must have shot his ego as well as the plane, cos before I got to give him an for giving a good fight while he's flying my favorite plane (and I know how hard it's to fight with slow jug on the deck) he called me a dweeb.
check your stats again man. I'm not the one who got 144 kills in La7 the last tour as his main ride.
I did not expect this from veterans. So now it's squelched again. If someone gives me an or throws mud and I do not reply - it's not 'cos I'm rude.
I'm rude beside that.

#2 does that regardless of who kills him, how he dies, whose fault it is, and even sets himself for ridiculous odds and then complains about that too! In fact, he usually announces who he is LONG before the fight degrades that far, so a lot of guys have gathered to help kill him.
Gotta love it. :D
Well, at least we have a squelch function.

I'm with J_A_B on this one. I honestly strive for veterans to accuse me of cheating...I will be extremely proud the day it happens and hope that I can get a screenshot out of it for posterity.

The really sad thing is that I checked stats and hit it with the first name I typed in.
I always role my eyes if I see his ID in the kill message. I know what's coming next.

Bozon - don't feel bad, and don't squelch 1. Those guys are fun to taunt. By eliminating all the bad, you'll also eliminate all the good. Anyway, you had me onside once you mentioned the guy was an LA7-dweeb.
Checked your loc. to know what timze zone you're in. If I'm right, that's Jordan/Syria? Cos if your any further East you'd be in the Iraq northern no-fly zone. ;)

Hey,, gotta' tell you this about a previous post herein;
Yesterday afternoon (early evening EST?).. I'm flying solo, following a 12 man "mission" to hammer an nme base (apparently YOURS!).
These 12 guys are in tight formation, determined to get to that base.
Then, up ahead in a valley there's these 3 planes tangling around,, 2 friendlies and an nme La7.
Somebody on my country channel radios', "Hey, that La7 down there is Shane.."
Guess what?
THE WHOLE FRICKIN' 12 PLANES IN THE ATTACK MISSION, INCLUDING A B17, BREAK FORMATION LIKE INSANE GEESE, AND DIVE DOWN TO GET YOU!!
MOoooahahahaa!! Honest ta' Gawd~ Unbelievable!
One of the original fighters got you,, and the whole mission went to seed! Bomber augered, etc, etc, etc,,
What in the world do you do to invoke this type of knee-jerk response from logical thinking people? They just live to nail you.. It really was funny.
Oh YEAH! And then,, what remained of the broken missions' fighters, streamed into the nme base on suicidal runs into AA trying to kill any La7 that lifted off.. HAHahahahaaa!!

HT should simply start a separate arena with you in it alone! "SAS" (Shoot-At-Shane)..

Let's reiterate.
Last night I was hitting grunt training up by A2 (behind enemy lines). During egress I see one high dot, one a little lower, and many lower still. The high dot is too far for me to make him out, and he's climbing. I've been climbing too, so I'm slow. I drop my nose for speed just as I make out the slightly lower dot to be a P51. One of the even lower dots gives the pony a check six, so that bounce gets blown, but as I break off the attack I get an icon on the higher dot. It's an La7 and he's at 25k (estimated, since I'm at 18k and he's 6k out and 60 degrees up my canopy). I turn toward A22, and warn everyone that Shane is in an La7 at 25k near A4. THey want to know how I know. :rollseyes:
As I get to about 20k, and now I'm down to about 250 indicated, the La7 gets word about the Bishop P51 and cuts back toward me (I can see this on dar). I break into him with my nose low to gain speed. At the merge, Shane is hotter then an MG43 at Normandy and pulls his signature high yo-yo to the right (confirming that it is Shane). I keep my nose down and turn into Bishop airspace. Shane's ego won't allow him to break off once contact has been made, so he is easily led away from his friends.
About 8k (distance) SE of A4 our E states become about equal, so I start a high speed grab. Shane mouths off about the lamer pony. Confirmed. My countrymen are laughing now, and requesting vectors, which I kept quiet on but all they have to do is use the wingman command. Shane repeats his ignorance with another taunt. I break up and back into him. As the fight begins, another countryman comes into the area with a little more alt. He asks if I want him to stay out and I said no. Why? Because Shane has asked for this.
Shane now breaks into the new attacker, rather then staying on me. At that point he didn't have to, so it's a little strange. Then, he spots a lower Bishop, and dives on him in an attempt to get an easier kill. It didn't work, so now he runs.
S:"Lol, now I've got four lamers chasing me."
V:"It's your own fault, Shane."
That doesn't work either and time is running out. Every Bishop in range is closing in now, because after all, Shane is Shane. In a twisty-turny low fight Shane can do nothing but be evasive, so I stay above him, wait for his E to run out, and then kill him.
Applause. laughter, uproarious praise, high fives, and a follow up ticker-tape parade follow.
S:"Voss your a popsicle."
V:"and you were killed by one."
S:"Voss I have lost all respect for your skillz {sic}."
V:"That's right Shane, you were killed by someone with no skill."
So, Shane, I won't go so far as to tell you who you remind me of, but I will say you need to learn to shutup. You overinflate your own abilities by a factor of ten. You continuously taunt and deride anyone that engages you, regardless of the outcome. And worst yet, you are attracting so much attention (negative attention) that you will never get the one thing you seem to want (i.e. a 1v1 fight).
I have a list of ten guys that never 'key up' unless they are being negative and derisive. You top the list and will always be squelched. You don't have anything positive to say and you are making the entire genre unenjoyable for quite a few. I wonder how many new players come in, hear your banter, and decide the entire community is too immature by your one example?
I, for one, will not allow someone as negative as you tell me how to fly, how to fight, and who does, or doesn't have skill. You don't have a clue.
So, let's go back to the original reason for this response. Advantage? Shane, if I were in an La7 at 14k (where we were when things evened out) against a co-alt, co-E pony, I'd have the advantage. I know people want to kill me, so I don't mouth off about it, so maybe I did have the advantage, but you gave it to me. :D

I'm with shane. I get tired of runnin' dweebs flying dweeb rides who can only shoot ya when they run you outa gas. Only attacking when they have the advantage. Oldman, I was once involved in a 6v2 where we killed five guys and I was trying to leave the area while wounded, suddenly alone, and out of ammo. Shane, informed of who was over there, came ripping in with five times my E and cut me to pieces, and then taunted, bragged, insulted, and strutted his ego in the end zone. Now that the kill messages have been amended, it's a little tougher for him to engage in such practices. He deserves what he gets.
It's not a matter of chivalry, either, as there is no such thing in the MA. I know how to handle an La-7 that high. I would have taken a great deal more time in killing him. He would have eventually attacked a lower friendly anyway, so we might as well end it sooner, than later.
I know what I'm doing (I think) and your $14.95 hasn't any more influence on what I do, than Shane's has. I don't think it's sad at all. I think it's justifiable homicide.:D

(hey hblair, got any extra server space i can post a nice 1.4mb film to? and brush up on the difference between extending and running, eh?) even after we merged and came out pretty co-alt and e you still ran and ran and ran... i'd have been all over a 20k la7 if I were in a pony. at least you know the limits of your meager skills, when you had 3 more people come over to help expressly vs me, lol.
i love your grip on the reality of what occurs in this game. now that i thnk about it, you're also part krsco.

Btw I never saw your reply because I have chan 1 squelched . So in the future if you need to say something to me don't use 1 .

HO'ing is a bad move, it's only going to increase your mortality rate. Try to help you out and you respond with rudeness and insolence . If you're going to be that way then fine, I don't care if you ever graduate from the La7 .

the screen shot sure doesn't look like a HO now does it? look at the g meter, too, and while your at it, my speed. i simply popped you in your cherrypick attempt - something called "SA" or situation awareness.
trust me, i know all about the idiocy of HO's - i'm not known for a HO-dweeb thank you very much... i use other's willingness and inclination to go for the HO against them to gain angles.
as for the la7, i'm in it simple because it's a more survivable, or at least harder to kill target against the gangers i usually encounter. plus it's simply a top-notch fighter.
i already did my tours in other planes.

yep, i was at the top pf my loop on urchin (and i was watching you as well), and my standard move for a higher cherrypicker is to roll out of the way, which is what i was starting to do and then saw an oppt'y to nose up and rake your low front quarter into belly, it was just a fairly lucky shot on my part.

iirc a few days ago when you were putzing around on teh pizza map in that 202, you wanted some 1 v 1's, so i grabbed one, too, and you didn't even have the decency to be co-alt and we ended up in vertical scissors and then then some lamer in an la7 lawndarted tring to cherry me there - he did nail one of my ailerons and smoked me i think, and then you merrily came back to finish me off.
get off the high horse, you're gonna get hurt when you fall off.

Guys like you have come into our community before . We can't seem to get rid of them fast enough . They either grow up or eventually get banned . I sincerly hope you are not as Leviathan put it "Nath without the L337 skills" . Just look at your behavour in that screenshot you posted . Doesn't it trouble you that everyone here assumed that bozon was talking about you ?

It's not a HO because he didn't hit you head on, that's clearly evident in the screenshot, nor are you guys nose to nose, another prerequisite for a head on. The hits are in the belly and lower tail, another indicator it's not a head on shot. You're also flying past his line, and from the screenshot, you let Shane take a rather nice snap shot for the kill.
It's funny when ego's get bruised they start to whine about 'HO type behavior' to cover up their lack of skill or just plain idiocy.

When I realized it was a suicide russian I started to break off, thats why he hit me where he did .

If you call "please refrain from HO's" whining, what do you call calling people obscenities on chan1 or insulting them in this forum ? Is this behavior preferable to civility ?

Samm, these guys are members of the mutual admiration society. They will back each other up regardless of how stupid either of them has been. Shane, frequently 'mis-remembers' events in order to maintain the luster upon his own ego. I can tell from the screenshot that you were, at one time, HO on Shane. Obviously, you pulled off and he chose to fire instead. You should have fired at him.
The problem is, when you're above an La7 and hot as you were, you can't rate fast enough out of his site window. Gravity holds you firmly within his view for as long as he needs. Plus, gravity aids him in rating his nose to track you as needed. This is one reason Shane uses the La7; it already has great rate ability, plus he can use that to advantage in HO.
Whether you beat him, or not, you will get the same response from him. He is not known for his sportsmanship, so you can't expect any of that from him. If he doesn't like what you are doing, tough. Make him suffer.

This is what we're talking about. The behaviour Shane is displaying here is typical of his behavior in the game also . That is why he has so few friends, for the fellow who inquired earlier in this thread .

I remember flying base defense in a CHog at A1 back in the old beta maps (10k field). I was at about 17k and saw a con flying straight towards the base. I was right over the base, so when I turned to engage him we were nose to nose. As the dot got closer, the icon showed it to be a P-47. I figured he probably had speed on me since I was in autoclimb right up until I saw the con, so I just kept heading at him. He, in turn, kept heading straight at me. We both opend fire at about 1.2k and we both went down in flames.

I think of that engagement every time I see one of these lame he said / she said debates about fault in an HO.

The sub-debate was actually about wether or not a HO engagement occured. Shane said it did not, I said that it did. You can see from the screenshots who was trying to avoid it .

Remember, if there is a collision and you're damaged it's becasue he rammed you.
