Title: Multiple monitor support?
Post by: EZDibs on July 26, 1999, 01:58:00 PM
Is there any chance that Aces High will support multiple monitors?  This would be a great feature.

Yeah, dual monitor support, dual monitor support!  HT is obviously single-monitor biased and hates dual monitors, or this would already be in the sim!

I hear HTC has included dual monitor support, but only for Allied planes.

In v1.11, LW pilots will no longer get any monitor support at all. All their fights will be by email correspondance, using crudely drawn crayola sketches illustrated by HT (Superfly and Natedog are too busy skinning and modelling new Allied planes).

Although, the 190 will be able to jettison used rocket tubes.

Who needs dual monitors, I'm saving for one of these:

This thread fits into my research on a more complete sim setup (hardware wise).  It seems there are some very sophisticated sims setup to use multiple displays (I've seen 5 plus) using networked PCs and the MS simulator.

For myself I believe I will wait for the VR glasses as shown.  I just can't see investing in 4 or 5 monitors when they will just be outdated in a few years.

Would be nice for AH to have a view option that eliminates the cockpit though, or at least everything below the front glass.  That way it would be conceivable to wire the cockpit using real instruments and switches using an EPIC card or even a keyboard/solenoid solution.

Go play Fighter Ace if you don't want cockpit art.

All fine except the Parhelia is way too little bang for the buck overall. Should suffice for AH though.  :D

without spending megabucks for a new monitor I'd like to have the option to use the two I already own.

2 or 3 CRT's are much cheaper than the above.

I spent a whole extra 10 bucks for second monitor support.

I already have an 6 or 7 year old additional monitor hooked up a secondary vid card in game machine.  I display target maps and sometimes ping-plotter during the game for example.
