Warm words for bin Laden as Muslim fundamentalists gather
Wed Sep 11, 2:18 PM ET
By DONNA ABU-NASR, Associated Press Writer
LONDON - As much of the world paused Wednesday to mourn the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, a group of Islamic militants gathered to discuss the "positive outcomes" of the violence they claim to reject, and to praise the aims of Osama bin Laden ( news - web sites).
Sheik Omar Bakri Mohammed of the radical group Al-Muhajiroun said the meeting at Finsbury Park Mosque, titled "Sept. 11, 2001: A Towering Day in History," argues that the attacks were justified because Muslims must defend themselves against armed aggression.
Al-Muhajiroun says its goal is to make Britain an Islamic state.

"Al-Muhajiroun says its goal is to make Britain an Islamic state."
This in itself I don't have a problem with. I'm sure England has a method within the rule of law where this could happen. As does the US. I mean all it takes is a constitional change. Now if these individuals want to work towards this goal with in the rule of law, who's to gainsay them.

where's the soccer hooligans when you really need them:mad:

Al-Muhajiroun says its goal is to make Britain an Islamic state.
Not all, but many of them(fundamentalists) want the whole world to be entirely Muslim.
-
how sad
-
I wouldn't plan on seeing the Old Bailey replaced by a Sharia court just yet.
These guys only represent a tiny minority of British Muslims. They are entitled to think what they like and say what they like just like those idiots in the British National Party.
-
These guys would be perfect candidates for BNP admission, if they didn't happen to be Asian. Heh.
I reckon we should send both parties to Jersey and let them fight it out. The victor would then be summarily nuked.
BTW, I might be joking.

Oh yes, I'm most certainly kidding.
-
Well if thats what these guys like to do together then toejam so be it. Let them gather and spew their radical crap all they want. Me Im way over here and could care less about there less than favorable views.
-
I dont mean to sound like a racist slur but all these fundamentalist who call for jihad on the western world, and are willing to kill inocents with out blinking an eye lid, MOVE AWAY, LEAVE THE WESTERN WORLD THEN, but why should they when they can asylum and get given a 4 bedroom house and £500 a week by the government that they wont to destroy:mad:
If any one can understand my garbled sentances then well done:p
-
It's a sad world if you have worry about that statement being considered racist...
-
I agree but any thing you say now can be classed as racist. By the way the point I was getting at was the double standard off it.
-
Exactly.
-
If Hitler couldn't get England a bunch of cowardly thugs will not succeed.
"Isn't freedom a wonderful thing?" - Sure as hell is, BUT most countries can't handle it or realize how fragile it is.
As for Afghanistan ending up a democracy. No way. That whole region is a HUGE time bomb (India, Pak., Afghan, etc).

Yea I really dont think the Brits are going to just hand over their country to the radicals.
Hopefully news articles like this will open a few eyes to the long term problem of fundementalist of any kind.

"Yea I really dont think the Brits are going to just hand over their country to the radicals."
Yep! Thats why they got all the explosives.
-
At the end of the day, they are what they are - vocal radicals. Few in number and with very little support.
Their babbling fantasies just gives right wing nazis like the BNP more ammunition (and a greater following), further undermining their utopian Islamic vision.

My point, which I'll admit was not very well done, was to hold a light on those who spout the patriotic / freedom loving lines but immediately condemn those who use that freedom to to say or do things we might find offensive.
Stupid ideas only wither in the light of day.
(I was agreeing with you Thrawny)

"Stupid ideas only wither in the light of day."
Apparently not if those ideas involve flying hijacked airliners into buildings...

 Was this plan discussed in a public forum somewhere?
-
Well I suppose Mr. Hamza being an Al Qaeda recruiter, Richard Ried, Mossauoi, our new terrorist wannabe Ujaama and some of the 911 hijackers all being connected with the Finsbury Park Mosque is just kinda coincidental....
You are a fool MT if you think this finsbury place is just gonna go away and not cause problems if its just left alone. Light or no light this place is rotten.
But then again I can see how a liberal like you can make such a mistake... Been back to Munich lately?
-
I actually live about 3 miles from Finsbury Park:confused:
-
:( People fighting in this forum over a bunch militants.
Come on guys.
