Name the location in grid coordinates of the squid on each map.
I know where the easy ones are. Still looking on NDIsles.
-
There isn't one on the Isles terrain, but there is something there.
-
Volcano?
-
UFO's stealing beer IIRC, on one of the islands in a corner of the map.
J_A_B
-
Yeah far NW corner.
-
Where is the squid in the Baltic?
-
I hear there's a scorpion whos sting induces heart attacks somewhere in one of the terrains
-
Correct, Lars, or hypo-allergenic reactions in me if I'm unlucky to get bitten by one. The Arkansas (http://www.uark.edu/depts/entomolo/museum/scorpion.html) variety is what got me last time.
I'm glad you find humor in it, though.

Speaking of scorpions in canyons, I havent run into you lately Voss, Wheres your panzer?

Hey there, AirScrew. I've been hitting the canyons pretty hard. Unfortunately, the best map for GV fights (Pizza) gets reset WAY too fast anymore.
We'll run into each other, I'm sure. ;)
-
I'm sure we will, I've been out of commission for 2 weeks, XP crashed on me. But should be back up tonight, all restored, picking up a Saitek x45 for my birthday on the way home.
Look out, I'll be deadly now.

I thought it was funny.

Anyone hungry?

Heh, an I'm sure you're gloating over killing a heavy tiff with an La7, too? You'll never change Shane. An ego with no humility, civility, or class.
I expect Sunday we'll have a lot of people show up after the ad runs on D_Wings, and you'll prompty scare them all away... with insults.
-
And that would have induced the brain tumor correct?

they'll be welcome here, hopefully they won't get sucked into the lame kind of gameplay you display.
and fwiw, i don't insult newbies - i only call out lamer vets when they're acting lame. it's a shame people seem to have gotten away from trying to at least acquire basic ACM skills and you lead by example.
having said that, AH is all about the "war" - it'd be nice to see more "war" and less "lemmings" tho'

Actually, Shane, you demonstrate your own stupidity here. You see, the AK and I that were on you were defending others in the area, or trying to. I kept my ordinance, even knowing that it was most likely you in the La7. I wasn't running, I was turn fighting in a heavy Tiffy. Stupid by my standards, yet you bend the event into some sort of significant achievement on your part. It was nothing.
What is your k/d in the La7 now? 3:1? Heh, check mine, and no I haven't been hunting goons like we caught you doing. In fact, I haven't had an La7 above 5k the entire tour. I've been doing base defense, the hardest thing to do and survive, and I've lived nearly 100% of the time (one out of 20, so far I died).
So, you've run into me maybe four, or five times the entire time you've played Aces High, yet you pretend to be an expert on how I fly? You know nothing.
Shane, you are sadly a misguided little tard. Your ego overwhelms you. You haven't the talent you believe you do. You are making the classic mistake of believing your own press releases; and I am getting tired of reading your belly-aching in the text buffer. You have a long way to go.
Oh, and DeadDuck, I'm glad you found your way back to the same UBB for your third annual post. See ya next year.
-
Funny again, I'm glad he did too!
(sheeeeeeeet - I agree with Voss)

heh, he said "k/d" heh
everytime i've encountered you, you've ran off until you felt safe enough to engage (or arrived to your own acks) - shrug, that's exactly how you fly, no big deal, but you try and make it into more than it is.
i think your arrogancy in thinking you could keep them puny little rockets (i notice it seems you were tail end of that big mob, all the better to arrive in *safety* to set up to vulch, right?) and deal with a low la7, regardless of who it is - and then try to use that as some kind of excuse is hilarious; it showed confidence beyond your skills (now is that "ego" or what? ).
landing isn't important to me, hence k/d is a meaningless measure by which you can compare us. try kill/sorties... i've always maintained that it's a little more representative in that from wheels up to re-plane, it measures how efefctive you are. you see, while you have a better k/d, your k/s is quite less. it just shows you take less risks, again nothing wrong with that except i like getting you (and whels) all torqued up about it, lol.
here's an example of what i did on the supposed day of your "#2 blanket party". i hung around the middle of mindanao, i flew 10 sorties and got 29 kills (trying my best to make it a point to survive that day - although i wasn't flying much) i only died twice, once by an afk death and once by twisting myself into the water *behind* a 109/110 (i forget). so for that day my k/s would have been 2.9 and my k/d would have been 14.5/1. so much for the blanket party, eh?
it's quite easy to maintain a high k/d if one flys very careful, it's not so easy to maintain a relative corresponding k/s in conjunction - as evidenced by both yours and whels current fighter stats. your k/t is slightly lower than mine, whel's significantly so. now stats by themselves are pretty meaningless, but you can read some things into them. what i read in yours is that you're a low-risk flyer who overly focuses on k/d as a relevant indication of one's skill.
when was the last time *you* took on 2 badguys from a disadvantage and won without relying on help from allies or acks?
it's a game dude, no one dies. no penalty for actually trying. now if you wanna fly in the weenie low-rosk way you fly, all the more power to you. lol. it's *your* (and whels) channel one air of superiority that makes it such a joy to get you torqued.
:D

Again, your ability to read and comprehend lags behind the average gamer, and that's saying something.
No, Shane, I was at the front of the Raid. I reversed when word came that there was a con back there. When I saw it was an La7, I knew it was you. You think I'm arrogant because I kept my rockets? You jumped a few steps in that logic pathway.
As for the #2 blanket party: you were being quiet that day. I never heard a peep out of you. I'd like to see more of that Shane. If, you don't care to fly in order to avoid the blanket, fine.
And, once again you've assumed too much in the careful flying department. My k/d is high in fighters because I've been defending fields. Not because I've been careful. I've flown the 262 even, and that's not being careful in my book, especially since I attacked BGB's B17's (known to kill 262's). Also, I have not flown the La7 in the fighter slot. I've used it in attack. I'm not careful in attack at all. I charge in and aggresively down aircraft, and shootup ground vehicles.
As to your 'when' question, I just did. I was in a Tempest 4v1 for a time, before dragging discod out away from the rest. Before that, you should have seen me, because I saw you, I was in a Spit 14 6:2 with DJ111. I killed your goon, and the yak that followed me away from your pack. DJ was dead by that time, so I left.
I quite often do this, but you wouldn't know because you 'think' you know all about my tactics. You don't.
I don't buy your 'I often attack..' line either. I've watched you dive away from a level fight to attack lower contacts, thinking (no doubt) you'll get at least one kill before dying. That's how you end up outnumbered, and then you whine about it by insulting your attackers. LAME.
Again, you're believing your own press and you haven't got a clue.
-
lolololol... i love the way you spin.
the 3 that discod said ran out of gas.... chasing you i presume in your tempest, lol. so you nailed discod... in a 1 on 1 (i saw your conversation on ch1 :) )
oooo you killed a goon... and a yak... oh man, lucky that goon didn't have guns. so you let dj take care of the other 4, or did you see the goon and leave dj hanging to go bust it and then nailed the yak who came following?
i beleive you do, i like this phrase, chum quite a bit, using other bish to achieve your lofty heights of dweebery.
yeah i'll dive on a lower bogey if the one sitting on my head is refusing to engage - it's the best way to force 'em to finally do something others than sit up there waiting for others to arrive.
lol, i *was* taunting your blankey party every time i went up that day. i just flew smart and bugged out when i saw it wise to do so. i t was a direct challenge, one that you all failed to meet, lol.
fess up, you fly for k/d and as a result are timid because of it, but quite good at it. next tour perhaps i'll try the k/d dweebery thingy just for toejams and grins.
yeah leaving the rockets on was a big mistake... lol... it'd not have mattered. you simply pooched it. and then i outflew you.
hell, ask any number of bish who've encountered me from an advantage and still lost... in all kinds of planes, sometimes even with a number advantage. g'wan, ask... :D hell, ask knits/rooks, too. i don't win 'em all, but more than my share - because i... try.
i wish HTC would change the kill buffer to show, "such and such shot down such and such" - ah well, maybe someday.
-
As always, you presume too much. Now you argue in circles trying to keep the arguement going. No, the 4v1 was with guys returning from a mission that jumped into a 1v1. It was their fault they ran out of gas. I turned with them for awhile, then extended to drag discod away.
DJ got HO'd by the Yak, or a 190. I don't recall which. He died almost immediately upon making contact with the enemy.
Shane, you're just not smart enough to ever catch on. I'm tired of attempting to educate you. You'll never learn and I doubt you're capable of growing up.
Keep patting yourslef on the back, though. It serves you well.
-
lol. nothing for you to edjoomakate me on. i have you pegged - on many levels.
:D
