Sometimes logging onto this board is like being trapped in a Trekkie Convention.

off topic but recessed screws brought to mind "zeus" fasteners.

Trivia question: What was the first US aircraft to use 'em?

Hint: the aircraft was discontinued, one of the excuses was the use of these fasteners.

Don't know, but it was probably a chopper.  They seen to be quite popular on them.

Trivia question was based on what I heard long time ago. Just did some research and it appears that what I'd heard wasn't true. Zeus fasteners appear to have been is use on WWII A/C.

The B58 Hustler is what I had in mind. Sorry.

Anyone notice the trend of newer planes bearing Squad/individual markings where older planes generally had them removed from the skins??

The Bf109E-4 bears the "Schlageter" shield emblem, and I'm sure there are quite some more recent planes that bears markings.

 ...

Maybe the facelift Bf109G-6 would get to have the "Usch" red heart?? :)

I don't really care much about face lifts (though some of the older planes do need them) as much as I do new aircraft/features!

What kinda aircraft and other stuff r u thinking about?

Superfly/Pyro concentrate on the picture below... you feel your eyes lids getting heavy, heavy.... you are getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, yes sleep...
*Pyro/Superfly falls asleep*
Whenever you hear the words "What planes should we add" you will respond "Add the Gloster Gladiator and Cr.42"
Now, You will wake up when you hear the snap of my fingers.
*snaps fingers*

Oh yeah BTW I'll even pay ya 15$/month as well if u add a biplane!! :D:D

Hopefully the 'white' planes get their silver reskinning, otherwise it's probably not until the 3d engine is reworked that we'll see it.

One of my favorites

Might as well do a little advertising while were talking about Preddy and the 352nd.

Second to none!!!!!!!!! (http://www.352ndfightergroup.com)

And how could I let a post that mentions Preddy go without posting a link for the petition (http://www.PetitionOnline.com/PPAFB);)

Ok I'm done:D

The american planes will remain white/grey until better materials ( shaders ) are implemented. My guess anyway.

What about the LW planes?  For example the Bf109G6 is made from the G10 fuselage with the round bulges added, when it should use the G2 fuselage with bulges.  Can you guys redo the Bf109s next please? And please widen the oilcooler.

I gotta say it, I feel sorry for Superfly when the community asks him to throw them a bone and he does so, only to get requests for more work on other models.

Hes probably in the middle of fixing the  P51d and already before hes finished we're asking for more.

Lets just let him do his work eh?

btw now that i have made them all feel a little guilty, can i have DESERT camo on my 109s!!!! :D

SNORK!

hehehe

yea the 109g10 used to have desert camo. I also seem to remember it having half and half for a short period as well. (half desert, half what we have now). I liked the desert scheme  ;)

That's odd.  The G10 being a 1944 plane, I wouldn't have guessed it saw much action in the desert...

I hope Superfly and Natedog, and all HTC take our pleas/whines with a grain of salt.  We all love the game or we wouldn't be here.   And I think it would be worse if Super posted a screenshot, and no one even commented on it.  Now THAT would be sad.

I dont think that the Beta G10 was intended to be in desert camo.
It was in a speculative late war scheme.
Lots of people are debating the exact tone of some of the late war german paints..
look at some of these.
G10-1 (http://204.50.25.179/gallery01/bf109g10lcw_1.htm)

g10-2 (http://204.50.25.179/features01/bf109g10bm_1.htm)

so the beta G10 was done from one of those somewhat contentios and speculative late war schemes...I believe

I do hope the 109s get the next poly upgrade after the pony they're one of the older planes from Beta and just  post-beta that got introduced. I think they will be :D
