For the past week the History Channel has been showing a series called "Battle Stations", and today they aired the one called "Spitfire Squadron". It's all about Spitfires during the Battle of Britain, and they showed a plane in England where they have a RAF field setup to be like the one from the BoB and had a re-enactment of what it looks like from the pilot's POV during a scramble. From getting into the plane, resetting the altimeter, buckling in, starting up, testing controls, testing flaps and taking off... it was just really cool to watch.
