Title: yet another x45 question
Post by: bizket on September 22, 2002, 07:10:21 PM
I just got picked up one last night and for the most part everything went pretty well.  I do have one problem  though. For the past 3 years I've been using an Microsoft Precision pro with the twisty stick and I'm having a hell of time getting used to the rudder control on the x45. My gunnery which was never very good has now gone to crap. With the rudder control the way it is scaled now I'm bouncing all over the place. If I dont get this problem sorted out I've got about 4 months of getting clubed like a baby seal ahead of me.

Does anybody have and settings for scaling on the rudder that I can use??? It just seems way to sensitive they way it is right now. Also does anybody know if you can map trim controls to the rotarys??? Right now I've got them on the second hat but rotarys would be so much nicer:)

I also suggest USB Pro Peds

here is a profile with rotors as rudder & elevator trims, x45 throttle rocker as aileron trim <- it works well for that

Maybe this is a stupid question, but did you go into the settings (on the clipboard within AH) and then into joystick...choose rudder and turn up the dead-band..turn down the sensitivity..etc?
