Title: Skuzzy... arena settings question
Post by: Shane on September 22, 2002, 10:58:05 PM
I notice the FM in each MA, DA and TA seem slightly different, with the DA seeming to be a little more sensitive, and the TA less so than the MA.

What are the AoA settings for these 3 arenas?

Thx.

we were at the 6k bases... mid-alt...

Good question.  Shane and I were having it out in the DA last night... the air just seems... "thinner."  Are we crazy?

The high alt fields start at 15k, and the deck is around 10k.  Yes, the air should seem thinner up there. :D

thank you, dr. einstein.

the effect is the same at the low and mid alt bases. or seems to be, which is why i'm asking about the arena AoA  *settings*

The MA is always full of BS, hence the increase air pressure.

You should know Shane, you contribute half of it :D

Shane if you are not using the stall limiter the aoa setting makes no difference.

Went and checked main is at 2.5 others were at 2. Set them all to 2.5

thx... not using the stall limiter.  just over time i've noticed that the DA and TA seem to handle a little different when it comes to riding the edge of the envelope.

and when the test arena was up, it seems the limiter (or AoA) setting was enforced over user's preferences - no one could stall/spin.

then playing with the H2H settings i noticed that AoA setting, so figured that might have something to do with the seeming differences noted in the DA and TA.

it's been driving me nuts in DA as i wasn't sure if it was just that the pressure is racheted up or if it might have been an actual setting difference.  maybe the change from 2 to 2.5 will have an actual (or placebo) effect on how the DA "feels."

thanks.
