Does anyone have any good information on non shareware application server and spyware software?

Im looking for something that anybody has experience with and can recommend that is trust worthy since Im willing to spend money on purchasing it. I dont want to muck with shareware.

what exactly do you need to do?,what apps need to run on app server and are you looking to remove spyware or what? :)
