Better Late than never :D
Sunday TOD Frame 1 logs (http://www.webtreatz.com/suntod21.html)
-
The WOD squad tallies are all zeros.
We got 2 kills 4 objects and 7 deaths.
-
Oops, humblest apologies old chap. Fixed now and allies totals updated too.
BTW you had 9 deaths not 7 (Chancer :D) crashing on take off counts against ya too.
-
Well something looks FUBAR.
Apparently i shot down a friendly lanc and assisted with another, yea right.
I was Swoops gunner, we landed at frames end behind enemy lines as it was gonna take at least another hour to rtb, so why am i listed as safely landing and yet swoop is listed as captured by enemy forces and gets a death awarded ??

Cav
Heres the actual raw entries from the log
9-22-02 15:59:16 Swoop End Flight Captured MAG-33 (SEA)
9-22-02 15:59:17 Cavalear End Flight Landed 39 MAG-33 (SEA)
Think I remember seeing somewhere that HTC's log program has this issue with gunners when the pilot lands in enemy territory.
Thats what I work on, cant do much about it if its wrong:(
As for the friendly kills. I wasn't aware that kill shooter was off. (neither were you by the sound of it :D)

If Chancer crashed on take off in the first 10 minutes, then it should not count as a death.... this 10-minute period is to allow for take-off accidents and is also the reason Killshooter is left on during that time. After 10 minutes, the fields are closed and Killshooter is turned on, and I always broadcast the fact on the CM channel at the time. :)

Quite possible, Cavalier, with Killshooter being off. :)I was Swoops gunner, we landed at frames end behind enemy lines as it was gonna take at least another hour to rtb, so why am i listed as safely landing and yet swoop is listed as captured by enemy forces and gets a death awarded ??
Yes this is quite normal for gunners (I think unless the pilot bails....) if the pilot is shot down or lands on enemy territory, the gunner "lands safely" at the base he was at when he joined the flight. Ever tried filming as a gunner? It shows you in that tower for the entire flight! ;) Same thing happens with filming in CMEye! :)

Yes, Killshooter was turned off after the usual 10-minute period at the beginning of the frame, and I broadcast the fact on the CM channel. At the same time, the fields were closed so that anyone wishing to re-up for any reason after that time would have had to ask me to open them. :)

I'm the chancer, for reporting 7 deaths instead of 9. I assumed takeoff accidents were not counted as deaths.
I am not sure why we had so many takeoff accidents, we were not taking off from a CV. A lot of our pilots dumped on takeoff (due to changing arenas - they have been told to quit the game when changing arenas, again).
-
I'll republish these this evening minus the take off accidents and the friendly fire kills.

Oops, I misread the original message and presumed Chancer was the GameID! :o Anyway, just to clarify, any accidental deaths in the first 10 minutes from the start (about 15 minutes into the logs which were started about 5 minutes earlier) should not be counted. In most cases, if it appears someone has more than one life, you can assume they relaunched within this grace period, or were allowed to reup after a disco.... :)

Data is now updated,
Friendly fire kills have been removed and take off crash deaths are also removed.
Totals have also been updated.

Swoop should still not have a captured or death against his name we did not land until the CM,s were asking if we were all done we said it would take us over an hour to rtb so rather than just bury it into the deck swoop landed, we were in no trouble and could just as easily have stayed airborne but to be honest i assumed the frame was already over.
As for the so called friendly fire killings I am not a Noob at this game and do not hold the trigger and indiscriminately blast all over the sky, I fire when i have a sure target in my sights although it seems i could not buy a kill just a load of assists :0
Other pilots in the lanc flight did keep telling swoop our guns were firing for a long time while we were still enroute to target, but we still had a full ammo load in every gun and i sure as hell was not firing them.
Maybe it was a lag thing.

Ah, you are right.... I should have informed Gremlin of the fact that permission was given for pilots to ditch as the frame drew to a close with many aircraft still deep in enemy territory. The frame was extended by about 30 minutes for others to land, but we gave the option of ditching as an alternative. Sorry not to have made this clear. :)

On these occasions surely it would be ok to call "knock it off" and give the exiting bombers a friendly field nearby to land at. This may have happened last frame (left the arena a little early). Just think it would be a worthwhile practice to let the the buff drivers in particular land quickly and land in peace.
