I am currently playing the excellent 'Freedom Force' and I was wondering if a lot of you were reading those comics during their young years.
I was (and still am :o ) a big fan of Marvel's Wolverine, but as a complete story, 'The Watchmen' by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons will probably be my favourite of all time.
I hope this comic will someday be adapted as a movie...
-
Spidey... (even 25yrs before the movie :) )
-
The Toxic Avenger ! Mutant with a mop :)
-
The Brown Hornet.
"Hey Hey Hey!!!"
-
X-Men,and i'm talking 18 yrs ago :)
-
Favourite cartoon superhero on TV - Hong Kong Phooey.
Favourite cartoon comic super-hero - Aquaman.
I guess I spent alot of time swimming as a kid so I thought Aquaman was cool because he could breath under water and talk with the fish.
Besides which...in this game you are playing Aquaman probably has the highest ENG rating. He would not be a "dweeb" character.
Perk Superman!
-
SuperLopez.
Of course you won't know it, its a spanish comic superhero. And an hilarious one ,btw :D
-
J'onn J'onnz...the Martian Manhunter. A more interesting character than Superman. Recently had his own comic book series featuring Mandrake and Ostrander as artist and writer. One of the better, more intelligent comics around, at least for awhile. Garnered some critical acclaim. But wasn't bloody or violent enough for today's youth. So it never produced the revenues that DC expected.
Needless to say DC dropped the series. A shame.

Isn't Superman dead?
-
Up to about age 7 it was Superman...then my father became my life-long super hero. Trying to be the father now to my kids that he was to me.
-
The Black Hawks, Spidey was a close second.
Hay Rip, I din't know your dad was a Comic Super Hero ... Oh REAL Super Hero ... yea I know what ya mean.
-
He had a sense of humor(after all he was the one that tagged me with "Ripsnort"), so does that count? :D
-
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the real black & white one, not the super gay tv show comic)
X-Men
Sandman
-
Rip,
Yes, it does count.
On second thought, I'll change my choice to My Dad. Grandfather is a close second.
Regards, Shuckins

Daredevil
Spidey
X-men
Never was a DC comics fan.
-
Dark Knight (batman before commercialization)
when he was more detective and less superheroish and the stories/atmosphere was moody/dark
Spidey and DareDevil
-
Thor - (the original hammer time)
-
Yea it counts Rip.
No one would have ever accused my dad of being comic, but every time I think of him, in my minds eye I see him mounting that horse, to ride off with John Wayne, if you know what I mean.
-
Liked the Blackhawks, but my all-time favorite was the Daredevil.
BTW, for all of you fans of Superfriends, check out this less than kind review of the various members. There is stuff in here that will make you laugh so hard you can't breathe: http://www.seanbaby.com/super.htm

Supergirl died?
I thought Superman died??? WTF!?
I suppose now you'll tell me that Krypto the dog died too!!!
-
Introducing GI-JOE!
hehehe my favorite.
:D
-
MT Supergirl died in the same battle with the Flash and many others.
Any Supergirls you see now are normally clones made by Lex.
I can't remember who it was they were fighting but I do remember that they killed off a toejam load of Super Heros.
-
Oh yeah, and Scarlet was HOT.
PS: When I used to play GI-JOE, scarlet became my GF.
:p
-
Wonder Woman and her clear jet aircraft. Oo la la!
:D
-
Yes senna, with enough good training, anybody can become a superhero also.

Do ya remember the song Eagler?
When Captain America throws his mighty shield
All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.
can't recall the rest.
I still sing that to my kids sometimes, they think I'm nuts.
:D
-
My favorite super hero's would have to be The Wonder Twins.
Wonder twin powers activate! (twins touch their rings together)
Boy: "Form of water!"
Girl: "shape of a bong!"
Not many people know this but when Wonder Woman smokes, her top sometimes pops open when she coughs :D :D :D

When Captain America throws his might shield,
all those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.
When he's led to a fight and the duel is through,
the red and the white and the blue'll come through
when Captain American throws his mighty shield.

Superfly, of course! ;)
I meant, I agree with him. original TMNT is one of the best. The fights with the Foot and the arena fight with the Triceratons were great!
Marvel Comics... I liked the Avengers (Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp was hot!), Silver Surfer and the X-Men up until around issue 230 or so. Wolvie vs Sabretooth was fun (#213 I think). I was glad to see they had that rivalry in the movie!
Spider-man is the best though. Nerd turned superhero, and constantly wisecracking as he fights crime. Can't beat it! :)
-
baahahahaahah! You crackme up dead.
:D

Spidey
The Thing
I know this dude was not a super hero per say, but it was my favorite cartoon for years....Johnny Quest
