Anyone have any data on it (speed @ sea level, max speed @ alt, turn performance, climb rate, ... )?

Trying to find good data my self.
The there wasn't much difference between the A4 and A5, same engine. The A5 had a bit longer nose to compensate for the changed CG that new armament caused. It also had some new more modern insruments.
The A4 differed from the A3 in having a engine that could use MW50 boost. It is still discussed wether the MW50 was actually used prior to the A8. I've got an interview on VHS tape with Otto Stammberger who says they introduced Water-methanol injection on the A4/A5, atleast he had it.
A6 had 4xMg 151's instead of 2xMg151's and 2xMG FF's.
A7 replaced the 7.9 mm MG's with 13mm.
A8 had an extra tank, capeble of either using fuel or GM1 liquid.
Will see what books I can dig up, meanwhile this (http://home.earthlink.net/~poole124/fockewulf/) is a fairly good site.

Would it be accurate then to allow this and the A7's loadout for the A5? (I.e. "field mods")

:D

The A6 wings were a bit strenghtened aswell however in other ways it is an A5. Main difference (except a different radio etc) was the adding of 2xMg151 instead of the MG FF.
So IMO yes it would be right.

Fw 190A-6/R6 carried 2 x Mk 108 (instead of on of the Mg 151 pairs) also carried 2 x W.Gr. 21 rox - the 3 different type of guns w/ 3 different muzzel velocities were probably an aiming problem, like in the P-39
Fw 190A-6/R1 might be more effective, carrying 6 x Mg 151 (two in underwing gondolas)

Take a look here (http://www.fighter-planes.com/info/fw190.htm) . Very good article about 190 but without performance data for all variants.

ill try to dig out what i have , post later....

Duedel, i would advice you to get:
M. Griehl/J. Dressel
Focke Wulf Fw190/Ta152
Jäger - Jagdbomber - Panzerjäger
ISBN 3-613-01681-8
It is out of print, but you should get it easily via ebay for something like 15-25 Euros. Its very detailed and based on research in german archives.
Not like the good old William Green stuff that was contained in that article from your link.

So would it be possible to have this option available in AH? If so, maybe the extra N2O could be used to increase the time available for WEP by reducing the rate the temperature increases at.
Fw-190 A-5 speed and climb performance data

The aircraft after the A-5 would probably have gotten slower and more sluggish with the addition of more armament against the heavy bombers. The A-8 made a maximum level speed of 408 mph (i dont know at what alt, though).
"Warplanes of the Luftwaffe" is another good book you might want to consider.
Duedel, does this help any?

The GM1 wouldn't increase WEP time, however, it would increase speed and climb above maximum boost altitude, above 18k or so in the case of the BWM 801D2.
