The squares are the same shade eagle. Open it in a photo editor and see for yourself.
I moved the tile around and still can't believe the aparent change in shade between the shadowed and non-shadowed area.

Believe it or not, all those dots and crap I made are the same color.

I can neither confirm nor deny that those squares are the same shade and that the CIA secretly supported the overthrow of the Venezuelan government earlier this year.

Its all relative. The middle section is just a darker version of the rest.

Just defocus your eyes a bit then A and B squares will show to be the same color.
