If you want to send a
to someone, you should have to use a private message. Otherwise Channel 1 is a bunch of drivelling and impotent big mouthed jabbering.
That is all. I feel better now.
Seriously, though, I think the game would be better if there was a little more silence on the enemy sides.

Kinda like a high speed whine huh:rolleyes:

If you didn't want to talk to people, why not just play a boxed game?

meh. It's not the social aspect I abhore, it's the overall attitude. Trash talking and "Hey, come back LA7, you left your manhood here" (note: I have maybe flown an LA7 7 or 8 times total) projects an overall bad aura. And it gets tiresome to enter a litany of squelches every time I log on. Besides, I think it adds to the immersion to have the enemy be nameless and faceless as it really was in WWII (for the most part).
On the whole, though, just a rant, so excuse me. Venting against something over which I have neither to the ability to change nor earned the right to do so.

Yes you do. Type ".squelch 1" in the radio bar and hit "enter". You won't see channel one until you log in again.

If you don't want ch. 1 it's as simple as squelching it. If you want to complain about typing ".Squelch 1" every time you log off, i suggest you start playing offline.

"Hey, come back LA7, you left your manhood here"
quote of the week!

I miss the clever and non-offensive taunting of Stigler. He was a pretty good stick in WB2 (HA). I always fell to my virtual death from his taunts. ;)
To bad some of the most vocal folks are “learning disabled”. They couldn’t type a clever non-offensive thought on channel one if it jumped up and bite them on the butt. Like I stated before, some (few) folks are “Lowest Common Denominator” of the on-line flight sim world.
Too bad, channel 1 could be so much fun.
