Hey Everyone,
I am writing this for my dad because he doesn't know how to get on here and write a post, but to the problem. My dad just built his own computer about 6 months ago. Every once in a while, the computer will just shut off and restart. I am not sure if that is a problem with Aces High, or if its a coincidence. The specs of his computer are listed below:
- ASUS P4S333 Motherboard
- Pentium 4 1.8 GHZ/400 MHZ bus
- U.S. Robotix 56K Performance Pro Modem - ISP = AOL
- LG 52X CD-ROM Drive
- Acer 24 x 10 x 40 CDRW
- Logitech Mouseman Dual Optical Mouse
- CH Fighterstick & CH Rudder Pedals
- ASUS GeForce 3 Ti200 64MB Video Card
- OS - Windows XP Pro
There are only 3 fans in the computer, so I personally think the computer is overheating therefore causing the restart problem. There is a fan on the video card, but I am not sure if it's working right because my dad said that sometimes when he saw the SmartDoctor dialog come up he said that the temperature was in the red.
I put all settings down to default for the computer, hopefully this will work better. I hope someone will have any kind of information or any kind of answer towards this still. Thank you for reading this. Salute All!

Could be an el-cheapo Power supply that's overheating or the voltage isn't stable.. Get motherboard monitor and to check temps and voltage. If he's got 3 fans and a decent case I don't think the heat would be an issue. Did the processor heat sink come with that little pad, if it didn't did you put any thermal compound? Could also be memory, get memtest and run it for a while see what it comes back with.

go here and get MBM 5
http://mbm.livewiredev.com/
while it runs, u can tell it how often to take readings, and to save the results to a text file so u can see what they are over a long period of time
