Have loaded NEW TE and now when you create new MAP after giving name and MAP size ( options for map size show 64,128,256,512 ) it always creates elv 2048 kb / typ 256 kb files no matter what size MAP you select for new map. TE HELP claims AH maps can be created in 64-129-256-512 sizes and includes BMP templates.
I am either performing the wrong order of steps for creation or NEW TE is only 512 size.
My goal is to use MAPMAKER to create 256 kb map ( have done this mmaker.cfg set 512 set 1 and 256 set 2) but this elv 512 kb / typ 64 kb file will not work with NEW TE set for 256 map?
Would like to hear from those using MAPMAKER and what steps they perform to create 256 map.
Thanks, Salute Pbear52

Unfortunately, Mapmaker only makes 512 maps. Ogre has been contacted and asked for a fix. He responded with some info queries and never responded again.
Not fixed.
Do a search on all posts by Ogre and you will find it.
Also, either you are confused, or you've confused me.
A 256 map does not mean that the file is 256 kb. It means that it is 256 miles long and 256 miles wide.

Viper,
Thanks for feedback !

All terrains in AH are 512X512, when we use small terrains we just use the center portion. Basicly the only thing that changes is the scale between the terrain, and the map on the clip board.
