Actually soon you can, Nokia is developing 'smart tyres' which report temperature, air pressure, flats etc. to the cars computer.

Who cares what temperatures your tyres are? I mean, what difference will it make, it's not like we're in the Indy 500 or something!
And as for pressure, you're supposed to check them and adjust them once a week anyway. As for flats. Who doesn't notice they have a flat!!!!?????? Must be a real idiot who doesn't notice he's driving on the rim. I wonder how much these useless things will add to tyre price. They already cost a fortune.
Now why don;t they make different coloured tyres. That is a good idea! Imagine...red tyres on your red car. Nice!

FDSS I'd prefer to read the pressure from the dashboard instead of dirtying my hands with the tyres.

Also, if a tyre gets damaged for some reason or camber goes bad etc. tyre temperature will warn you about that.

But.. I guess you wouldn't know how to use those functions anyway.

Actually they are (now) two different companies. Tire manufacturer is known as "Nokian" now.

Best snow tires in the world!

I've done a bit of research, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta snow tires consistantly rated on top in all comparison tests that I could find.
After growing up in Alaska, and learning to drive on snow, I have yet to drive anything that compares to them.
I love watching the looks on peoples faces when they watch an old rear wheel drive beater drive past their stuck four wheel drive...  WTF?????

It's like watching a realy fat guy win a foot race.  LOL   :)

Well thats not that easy. The reason why tires/tyres are black is that they contain carbon black to protect them from UV radiation. That fat white french guy claimed a few years ago that he is able to make coloured tires, but I havent seen anything commercial so far.

Oh man, I feel you pain!
 :D

Two things:
1. Telling air pressure on low profile tyre can be quite difficult without a gauge.

2. What the heck I'm doing at the work today?

And I thought you've had an AH Finland vs Sweden match ;-)

But what I see, egos in extreme :O

We had a wonderful Finland vs Sweden battle in WB x years ago. Werry fun.

Was three fights, all roll simultaneously from opposing fields andstart climbing.

Fight 1: Finns 109 F, Swedes Spit V
2: All P-39
3: Planes free

Don't remember who won though...

The Ruskies beat us some 2 years ago when we fought Finns vs Russians fight though  :) Score 2 to 1 for them. That was great ;-)
