Not intending to circumvent the closing of the thread discussing the abuse of channel 1.
However, I would like to have a channel common to all for the exchange of greetings, salutes, and brief civil conversations without all the adolescent drivel. So, how about an additional common channel for this purpose. Call channel 1 a "shoot the breeze" channel and set it to squelched by default. Make the new channel a one warning channel, abuse it and you lose xmit privledges for a month.
Just a thought.

i like idea of a chl like this, but i think it could be complicated to keep it clen... and maybe not worth to implement it...
anyway i would love to see it someday here :-)

i agree.... i think it'd better if one could have a "chat" channel, pvt, where you could add more than one user to it... that way you can add all your lil buddies and talk cross countries to your lil hearts content.

It would if unenforced. You might also cut the number of characters allowed per line in half. That alone would discourage some of the juvenile diatribe.

I'm still waiting for a mute for the range vox. The language and general trash used on it is way above what should be tolerated. Unfortunately you cannot mute it and that means I have to decide if I can be online when my son is around.

After not flying in forever, I got online today. I was looking for a mute for the vox myself, after a (self-stated) 12 year old, his friend, and another couple of pile-its started arguing on the channel about the kid and his friend blathering on over the open vox. Any reasons for not having a mute, or is this just something on the list to be implimented?

SOB you FDBs sadden me with the your new 90's guy-in-touch-with-his-feelings 'look'.
Any idiot with half a brain would know that these tards can be easily sorted:
Step 1: Load Kazaa, download as many Donny and Marie Osmond, Abba, Barbara Steisand, and Barry Manilow songs as you can.
Step 2: Burn to CD
Step 3: Find a CD-Walkman from the basement
Step 4: Plug said CD-Walkman into MIC-in Jack on PC
Step 5: Counter Local Vox traffic with above music.

Could I just use my software .mp3 player instead? I've got a great collection titled "Judy Garland Sings Showtunes" ripped to .mp3 and I lost the original CDs when one of the other ladies swiped them at my last tupperware party!

How about one of your radio channels automatically tuning to the last person you shot down, or shot you down. That way you could give a
, very quickly and easily and we could all squelch channel 1 forever.
You could call it channel 6 - the Opponent Kill Channel
Good idea?

simply modify the kill messages each receives....
"shane shot you down "
and
"you have shot down xxx, boy he sucked, eh?"
there ya go... best of both worlds.
:D

or...
"you shot down Shane, get ready for the whine!"
