Title: Invisible planes and Clipboard stuff
Post by: Red Tail 444 on October 08, 2002, 01:29:21 PM
I know this has been posted someplace, but I cannot locate it.

I ran a reinstall, and now when I minimize the game, upon rreturn I get invisible planes, and unreadable clipboards. Also, the cursor fails to recognice my commandds.

I run a GF2MMX and have had no problems with AH. I have plenty of physical memory, etc...When I reinstalled, I cannot remember if I should enable mip mapping or disable paletized pictures...

I don't even know what those things do!

You have to specify which OS you use, which driver version etc.

If you have XP, disable palettized textures from video setup.
If you have W2k, get nvreffix or multires and lock your refresh rates to 75hz or more.

Hya Gainsie,
Some have reported this problem using buggy video drivers (some of the newest ones), but the easiest thing to try first is checking Disable Paletized textures regardless of which OS you use.   It would also be helpful to know what resolution you are running.  It is usually best to match your game's resolution to your desktop's.

TY all,

I'm running XP, and had no probles till I ran a re-install...

My settings are  800X600 since the others are too small..I will check the box in question tonight and see the difference. I'm guessing I'll have it all straight by tonight.
