A little background first:
I flew AW for near 10 years before movin here to AH in March.
I'm not a complainer. I've learned to deal with collisions and HO's, seldom squeak unless I think it'll get under some dweebs skin. I like the FM here.
I love, I mean love, this game all except........ (Here's th squeak, you knew it was comin)
The Luftwobble or stick stirring, y'all know what I mean. I don't mean to necessarily accuse LW pile-its by callin it Luftwobble either cause there are some that do it in 38's and F4's as well. It's that floppin around that some do when they get slow with an NME on thier six. Total bullshirt.
I wonder why it's possible without th plane goin into a near unrecoverable spin? I never saw anything like it in AW. I don't recall seein anything like it in WB (I could be wrong about WB, didn't play it for long and it was several years ago).
It strikes me that this must be some sort of codeing fluke or bug. It certainly isn't remotely close to real aircraft performance.
So any way my wish....please, is it possible to do something to rid us of this awful aberration. Please.

Its because of lag. Any quick rolling aircraft has the tendency to be able to change positions faster than the server can handle updating that aircrafts position to your front end. It is crap and there are a few guys out there that know exactly how to take advantage of it, but I dont know what HT can do about it.

I really dont know what he means... But if u mean doing spins over and over agian? its a move... just like a loop? sissor fight? all moves... i dont like when i get in a turn fight.. can we stop doing that?
-
I know what your writing about . Yep it's happening more and more here . airreaper had it happen to him for almost 20 miles , till the guy got to his ack . Ah not to say it's only FW's but this one was . It don't work when they are too low , we just throttle back till they HAVE to strighten out or hit the dirt .
He ain't writing about sissor moves either . airreapr is so pissed off right now he's setting up his own server for Falcon 4.0 :( , says he ain't leaving AH but he ain't playing it either .
I know he wrote HT about it , asking him to turn up the "don't move your controls" code .
Come on step up to the loving plate , tell them all how it's done . I know how , what a roadkill move it is . We can all fly like fish out of water . LMAO , gamers , go figure .
You take care DamnedBuzzard , write me if you want the guy we got doing it that day , the low one .

It doen't have to be a Wulf, I can do it quite well in a Spit.
Sucks when you over do it and the stick locks though :)

The "Don't Move Controls So..." code use to be much more strict, until people squeaked and moaned until it was turned down.
But to be honest, right now I (or any other AH veteran) can make any plane in the set do the old "flippity floppity Fishy" move that takes advantage of the prediction code and net lag.
I feel your pain guys.

You got this one Rude?

I've seen stick stirring before and it isn't very sporting. It's just impossible to predict the direction the enemy plane is going. Mostly see 190's and f4's doing this.
However, i did get accused of stick stirring yesterday by a b17. I was at his 1 o'clock high and dived down to attack him. I was diving at about 350mph and i realised i was going to miss him (got it all wrong) so as i got to about d500 i whacked on full right rudder and gave him a spray. I then did a 45 degree roll and some left rudder and climbed away. The b17 went down minus 1 wing :D
I can't remember the b17 pilot (whoever you are) but, straight after the kill he accused me of stick stirring. Of course i don't know how it looked on his screen but it looked completely legit at my end. Because of the net and the high speed i was travelling at it's possible my plane coulda been all over the place.
So maybe not everyone does it on purpose, but i'm sure there are pilots that do.

Yup the stick-stirring is way out of hand. TURN the code up let em piss and moan.

There is NOTHING more satisfying than killing a stick stirrer. :D

What exactly is stick stirring and why is it bad/ a problem. Not trying to star a flame war or debate, I just dont know what it is or causes.
-
Imagine the motion you make while stirring something and translate that to your joystick. Problem is doing that over the internet means the server (correct term?) can't keep up with all the movement. You will appear erratic and warpy to anybody around you, making you hard to shoot down. Since its taking advantage of lag... its cheating in most people books.

"I've yet to see a spit do it,"
To be honest, I don't really know if I'm stick stirring in a Spit or not, but enough people have complained....(but hell, they're shooting at me!)

Actually I think Soup (Wu's real life father) taught Wu. Soup figured out the spin warrior move way back in DOS. And ya, it's on the same order of nonsense as the stick stirrer's/ flop warriors here in AH. Gaming th game. I'm "sure" HiTech can fix it, I wonder if he will.
