FURBALLCENTRAL.COM PRESENTS: ACES HIGH PILOT RANKINGS!
Rank any pilot you wish from AH, in the following classes! Much more detailed ranking at the site!
- [Class 1] fluff'n Dweebs: fluff'n dweebs: These "pilots" have no idea how to fly and their first kill is probably a proxie of someone trying to vulch them. Their first contact with other pilots looks something along the lines of ''''''///@%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%SFA@#%%!@!!. They never stop getting vulched, other players from the other classes always like to see these guys log on. If they dont get some training or help soon they usually lose interest or get pissed off and leave the game alltogether.
- [Class 2] Plain old Dweebs: They have figured out how to get a kill and usually fly around and try to head on every enemy plane they see. They often become either a buff or ground vehichle "artist" and usually are asking "does anyone need a gunner?". They also tend to become a poser, and follow around some of the better pilots picking off the wounded. They usually try to start a squad and then ask anyone on the roster, whether they know them or not to join.
- [Class 3] Vulch/Alt/Gang Dweebs: These pilots have learned that the easiest way to get a kill is to always have the advantage. The only real rope they know is to go up and stalll, zoom the enemy, go up and stall, and continue that process thinking they are kicking arse. They can almost always be found when and where their country has numbers, regardless of where pilots are actually needed on the map. If they some how find themselves in a "fair fight" without an advantage, they will run until they do have it.....
- [Class 4] Furballers: When Class 3 has learned that nobody really respects the way they fly, they usually will fall into this class and prove themselves worthy. They will go into a fight no matter what. This class hates BnZers and would rather die in a 5 on 1 then land 8 kills. Their only drawback is they tend to be the pilots fighting at a bottomless pit in the middle of the map while their country is being overrun on another part of the map. Yet they are flying for fun instead of numbers. They have found the true sence of the word "FURBALL". I respect this class just as much as Class 6.
- [Class 5] ACE (Alt Monkey): This class knows how to manage E and how to use ACM to the point where they are just about unkillable. Any time they die they usually come up with an excuse like "the phone rang". They will never admit they diddlyed up. Just a little different then Class 3, they are both devoted to their own ranks and stats, but Aces do have more skills than just running to get out of a jam. Unfortunately for their contrymen they use their skills to pad their stats rather than to win the war.
- [Class 6] Vet: These pilots you will usually find dieing for anyone. They can pork, kill, BnZ, rope, just as long as it gets the job done. They may be notorious for their fighter, but they could be found anywhere. In a vehicle, in a goon, jabo, bombing, defending bad odds, whatever needs done. They are there to have fun with their squadies and teamates. These pilots recognize skill and are usually the most benificial to their country. They like to go up against the pilots from classes 3 4 and 5.

Enjoy :)

Class NONE: Suck starts their engine. Couldn't shoot down a seagull with a howitzer. Only thing they can hit with guns is the ground. Airplane dissasembles immediatly when red icons show up on screen. Frequently asked by pilots from other countries to fly so they can pad their score. Has damaged more friendly aircraft than the entire enemy air force.
Yup. That's me.
-
Class 6: CUCKOO
-
I'm a class 4/5/6 depending on mood. You'll probably find me an Alt Monkey now since I don't want to loose my newlly accuired 262. ;)
-
There are two main types avobe those listed by u:
[Main Class 1] Rook.
[Main Class 2] Whatever else.
-
I went and ranked myself.
It is sad to be still a 3 having played this from beta. :D
-
I think Erich Hartmann was a class 3 from what I've read about him. You think about that, fairness has no place in a war if you intend to win ... and live. He never would engage in a disfavourable or even situation, and if he was engaged he ran.
-
I have no class.
-
i a class 3 dweeb, but lazs is giving me lessons so i can move up to class 4 , i even got rid of my P51 and fly a F6F ..boy it's hard to run ina F6F, now when i engage i gota turn and fight.
last night , i bounced 2 lala7's an killed them , boy , it's sure different seeing a lala7 in front of my F6F instead of behind my P51

I'd like to see an AH fighter scorepage like Deft's over in WB's. With the lil bar graph and all that. :) Thanks for the link SNA.
-
I can almost script anything... what bar graph are you refering too?
-
Nevermind I found it... I dont really like that... I guess I could set up bars instead of numbers... kinda cheesy looking.
-
All of the above, depending upon the situation (with the exception of class 1), are required elements of main arena flying.
-
need a new class...
7. Pompous windbag who won't be found very far from friendly acks if not in a 50-plane mission to an undefended base. Prefers to sit in gv's or any non-flying piece of equipment and safely shoot at approaching enemys and will end mission obtaining a ditch or successful landing at the slightest sign of any return fire. Values K/D above all while maintaining a below average K/T and K/S. Has illusions of grandeur by trying to be an uber-generalissmo. Refuses any challenges to duels as it might expose their general inability to handle a plane. Games the game by managing to obtain a good ranking in the safest manner possible by safely milking enemy strats well behind friendly lines, shooting friendly objects while in attack mode and sitting in pt boats in heavily defended task groups. Prefers to kill enemy ground units, preferrably panzers while participating in the 50-man missions, refusing to even attempt to get close to enemy base untill all acks are down.
:D

For those of you having problems understanding things... Murdr has written a wonder FAQ here: http://pilotrankings.aceshigh.furballcentral.com/faq.phtml

Pompous: too serious
Windbag: a person that talks too much
You're talking about yourself in the third person again Shane. The same way you did when you told me "*they* added a 7th Class just for you Voss." *They* being your own fingers I suppose.
A very fanciful imagination you have there, Shane. It sure sounds like you spend a lot of time dwelling on scores and imagining how your opponents beat you. There's something you've missed though, and it's the hole in the 'Shane Theory of Rank.' You can't get kills from 20k while in a mission and killing panzers, and even if you did, it wouldn't give you rank. What is it to you if someone else has fun by staying alive and getting a good K/D? It bothers you? Get over it.
You want rank? Go kill stuff. Kill everything. Enjoy every type of mission there is and get good at it. You die? So what! Do it five more times and succeed!
Oops, now I've told you. I bet it doesn't sink in, though.
-
it's not just for you.
:D
-
LOL Are you calling Voss a class 7- or, even more importantly, does Voss recognize himself as a class 7??
-
Obviously not, Shane. None of it describes how I go about playing Aces High, at all.
I have no idea what an 'uber generalisimo' is, so you might elaborate. I quit setting up missions (if that's what you mean), because even though people think my targets are a good idea, we don't succeed.
I accept challenges, just not from you.
Enemy strats, by definition, are not behind friendly lines.
How the hell does shooting friendly targets help you get rank? It does no damage, and damage/sortie can often decide the attack category.
I prefer to ATTACK PT boats, rather then drive them. They blow up real nice, but the perks gained are not as good as FLAKs. PTs are good perks too, though. However, in the attack department I prefer killing FLAKs. They are dangerous as hell to attack, but they are very rewarding as well. NOT safe.
I regularly attack fields even with ack up, and prefer to be the first mission aircraft to get to the field. That way my eggs aren't wasted.
Nope, you're not talking about me.

Essay: The Story of My (AH) Life
I was born a Class NONE, and then started AH as a Class 1.
With some practice I thought I could reach class 5.
But soon, I realized I was a Class 2, normally in a Class 4 situation, getting my butt handed to me by Class Cuckoos. So I tried my hand at class 3.
But I wasn't doing too good. I found out I was a Main Class 1[Rooks], getting banged everytime I up by the Main Class 2 [whatever else] guys.
Ahh... shi*.
So, I realize all I can be, and all I ever will be is a Class 6 wanna-be with a Class: pompus windbag attitude. :D
It suits me well!
-
Whats an 'average' K/T? I've always considered my K/T to be somewhat low, it is generally my worst rank of all the categories.
-
when I was younger, I tried my hardest.. heheh... to get hairy palms.. never worked. I'm convinced it's a myth, not through casual dismissal, but via thorough and lengthy scientific experimentation.

Where did you find it? I looked for it yesterday and apparently it wasn't up.

kinda fun huh 44 ? (can I call you 44?) but... I don't teach anyone anything. I found out a long time ago I can't teach.
The object is to have fun. Another object is to have fun and avoid long term burn out. Everyone has their own theory on how to achieve both of those goals. I am, of course, the only one who is right.

Guys, do be careful. On most keyboards, the letters R and W are perilously close together.
I like Voss :) He congratulates me when I get 6 kill P47D30 sorties, which is not often - LOL.
Lazs - we've had our differences in the past, but I see you're nothing if not honest. :)
Voss & Shane - careful, I can hear skuzzy coming with his padlock.
-
Deft's score pages are here:
http://scores.warbirdsiii.com/
I like the list of tens
Oh....I'm a Class 4 :)
-
Interesting attempt at making sense of the MA, and the people who fly in it ;) A difficult enterprise but, I applaud your attempt SNA ;) Btw, you left out the conga line enthusiasts, which can be found in each of the countries. I would assign them to any of the first 3 categories ;)
Depending on the circumstances I find myself a bit like all but the first three and number 5 (ace); I find number 5 boring and always have. :) But, thats the way I get enjoyment from the game, others fly the way they choose. The only thing I don't care for is those in categories 2,3 and 5 who will get on CH1 each time they get a kill and talk about it.
Gsholz: If hartmann was a class 3 then so were most smart WW2 pilots; no multiple lives for them; if you screwed up then, you died or got shot down. Hartmann was shot down many times.
