Title: Huh?
Post by: midnight Target on October 11, 2002, 10:31:25 AM
I got this in my junk E-mail today. I have no idea who this is, or what he could possibly be trying to sell me.

----------------------------

Hello,
If you are a Time Traveler from Dimension D1263GT10, year 2008 or Dimension D2044GT5, year 2432 AND OR in possession of the Dimensional Warp Generator #52 4350a wrist watch, the Carbon Copy Replica model #52 4350 2 or similar technology I need a RELIABLE SOURCE! I will also need a carbon based time transducing capacitor or temporal displacement unit. Send a (SEPARATE) email to me at: ColbyArmstrong@aol.com
with your cost if this applies to you. Please do not reply if you are unreliable. I prefer someone with access to teleportation.

Thanks
MaLRtPJx

I got that one last week too.  The attachment was something like "readme.txt.exe".  Definately something you don't want to open.

No attachment, don't usually even open mail like this, but this one was intriguing.

Did he leave a number?  I've been thinking about getting rid of my 4350a in favor of the 4650z.

can I have your 4350a?  I'll let you look at my Bobby hat!  (I caught his hat at the 1993 Duke game)

Looks like just creative spam.

btw I get *zero* spam and still I managed to have someone send me bugbear virus (was caught by norton with yestedays email)  so it's REALLY getting around, just a heads up.

beware the strange emails bearing attachments with double extensions.

The #52 4350a model is, like, sooo, 2008, dude.  Anyone with that is completely out of it.  The new thang is the #56 3600 series with the twin processors and corbomite casing.  Carbon-based stuff is so, like, yesterday's news, man.  Its like buying the warp-induction box with fake wood trim!
