Title: Need advise pls.

In a short time I may need a technical data on allied (mostly western) and german ww2 fighters, including charts on performans at different alts. If anyone knows books, which has this data either on English, German or Russian, please let me know. Thanks.

I got a book, dosent have charts but has some insteresting planes in it,


Most ive heard of, translated from italian, and for the P51-B they say the crew is 16 LOL other than some mispelling and error data its kinda nice, go to a Books-a-Million or Barns and Noble, they should have a whole section on it.

Its called, (In)

It has bombers in it too, Me-163,Me-262, most of it is german,allied, and japeneese planes

The best book on American fighters is called

"America's Hundred Thousand"

Tons of data, History, and Combat record.

Verm's right, Americas Hundred Thousand is pretty much the end all of books in terms of technical data on the main U.S. fighters in production during WW2. It has comparative tests, entry dates, development cycles, the works.

Thanks, seems it was I was looking for! Anything like that for RAF and German planes?

I believe that Janes Encylopedia would be the best source for information, but that just IMHO.
It would be nice to have a standardised data referrence for all sims to rely on for info, but it seems to change depending on which book you read and which models they are referring to. Not to mention the field mods and variances such as paddle blades, explosive bolts etc...
Maybe we could get all the data in one place and add all the info up to get a average for each major model. Now... who wants to determine what constitutes a "major" model designation. Ya got your hands full, best of luck <>
