You may check with the Post Office. I do a little trading on ebay and have recieved International Postal Money Orders from Japan payable in US Dollars. I have had no problems with them at all.

Better to use a credit card. You'll get the best exchange rate for that month.

Oops, nevermind. Seems they don't accept credit cards.

Exchange rates and checks dont get along.  Use a credit card.
