Typical Miami fan.  Only vocal when the win is secured.

Hey Fatty, you hear that game in the start of the 4th quarter?  15,000 FSU fans doing the War Chant, not a single Miami fan doing anything.  Worst fairweather fans in the world.  At least Gator and Nole fans (and most every other college) pack the house regardless of the team's fortunes or the opponent.

Something new though.  Miami players had class today.  First time I've ever seen that game where the players were cordial to each other.  A lot different than when Davis, Erickson, Johnson or Schnellenberger were coaching there.  Give Coker some credit for changing attitudes on that team and winning as they have.

Ain't the kicker's fault anyways.  Piss poor coaching in a 2 minute drill and hell, Beitia did a fantastic job of even getting the ball towards the posts.  Low snap, Gwaltney did a good job of getting it up, but tilted the ball to the right when he spun the laces.

Oh well, kids played their hearts out and did the best they could.  Can't ask for more than that except maybe for the wind to blow the other way.  ;)

Hopefully it will be LSU and Georgia for the SEC championship later this year. For a change of pace that is.

And on a lighter note UAB came back from a 15 points deficit at the half and beat Houston 51-34. Still UAB has no defense after last years top 10 defense. They gave up 477 total yards offense and 191 of that was on the ground. It is amazing that they had the balls to come back and play like they should.

It was nice to watch the games that were on today. Notre Dame got lucky and they showed their true colors today against a good team like Pitt. I just wish Pitt would have been able to pull together another drive or two and shut up all the "Beano Cook" Notre Dame lovers.

Reschke, Notre Dame will have at least one loss by the time daylight savings time ends.

We've got a week off to prepare for them, and it's going to be at Doak S. Campbell.  The way we played Miami, I think we'll beat ND by at least 17 points.  I kinda wish we didn't have the offweek next Sat though.  Best thing for the kids is probably to get them back out there as soon as possible to move on from the heartbreaker.

Man Eagler, I wouldn't wish poor Ron Zook's situation even on a team as hated as the Canes.  Talk about a no-win situation.

Nifty,

I hope FSU beats the hell out of Notre Dame. Although they will still only drop 1 place in the polls and still be in contention for a BCS appearance even if they loose to FSU and BC like I think they will.

Give it up. Watson Brown is gonna get fired and the football program disbanded. 8000 fans a game. Well on other note, over 450 yards passing in first half for Byron Leftwich of Marshall. 52 points in ONE HALF!!!

I'm happy because a team from Florida lost.

I'm sad because a team from Florida won.

Watson Brown is not going to get fired. Trust me on that one Hobodog. After playing at UAB from 1991-1994; (back when things were just getting started) he has been a huge improvement. If anything he will take on the role of AD full time after football season this year. The reason I know he will not get fired is this. Being an insider that gives time and money to the program you see and hear all the rumors. There is nothing is in the air about him getting fired because of the failures of the previous AD and Watson Brown is doing all he can to fix that problem that was allowed to go on for two years.

As for the previous AD everyone knows the previous he tried his hardest to run the entire athletic program into the ground. When you budget less than $10,000 dollars to sell tickets for all sports in a year you have to have an underlying reason. They did not even have a season tickets sales drive until Watson Brown took over as the interim AD.

The previous AD spent more than 85% of his tenure at UAB running around doing everything except running the athletic program there. He spent more time working for the USOC (US Olympic Committee) and getting paid for that than he did at UAB and still he got to make his nice 6 figure income and free house from UAB.
