Very nice.
Have a dumb question. What program are you using to change the colors?

Chad, I like the metal effect, it looks very good. The cheker nose is very good too.

On the down side, I would work more on :

- when u downgraded it to 256 colors u lost in quality. I personaly don't like when it shows the color "squares" like at the wing root of of picture 1.

- get rid of the "inside wheel well" part, as it's the same texture when the wheels are retracted.

- The USAF insignas are too large on the fuselage, and I don't think they should display 2 on the top of the wings. You may miss the code letters too, I dono for this plane. I like when they are historically correct.

- I think it would look better with more accurate panel lines/ rivets.

Maybe you copy/paste a drawing, alas it usually brings more work to make it look good, than to do everything from scratch. The plane does look very nice on picture number 2. I think it's a good start, keep it on!!!
I'm working on a D30 too, just the metal skin. I'll be happy to share my work w/u if I can do something who looks not too bad.

Originaly I took the Graphical Skin from anther source just to try out the paneling and also the Skin texturing. Thats why i have not released the BMP map of the skin.

This is just the first attempt of re-texturing that P47s that i will be doing over the next coming weeks. Firstly I need to get alot of data and images from real source of P47s.

AFter i have the data i can start rebuilding the current P47s From SCRATCH with just Photo shop. Even though I dont agree with the 16 Bit color maps for the AC.

It would be much better if Hitech could release a addon that allowed Textures to be 32 Bit color instead of 16 bit. Its just amatter of how much detail I can place onto the P47 for example.

The first post was to get a response if i should go ahead with the re-texturing of the P47D30. Instead of using my time up for nothink. Because i would very much like it, IF i could use my textures In-game. Or else i see no point in texturing the P47 more.

F6Bomber.
