ok I'd hate to be a pest.. But I have read the help file for skinning planes and still I am totally lost on how to do it.. I know how to pick the object, save it in to the savedtex folder, I edit it andput it in to texrsc folder.. and not one thing changes... maybe if some one could give me a step by step Directions on how to do this...

Step 1. Make a basic map, skin changes will ONLY affect this map.
Step 2. Create your plane as you did.
Step 3. Build the map
Step 4. Load the map into AH, offline or in H2H, and the skin will work, or you did something wrong.

The folder is texsrc not texR C S !!!
Also try doing something quick like the runway. Open it with paint and make it all one colour.
Remember that it must be 256 colour
Open up the editor and look at your runways, you should see the changes.

Also
You don't need to build the terrain to check your work.
After you finish skining your shape(s), make sure you place them in the "texsrc" folder.
Open up the editor and place the shape that you were working on, you'll see the changes right away.
P.S If you were going to work on the P51D, place the shape in the editor and say ok to the "object properties" box. Exit and save. Next time you open the editor your P51D plane will still be there and will show the new textures.

Use this terrain as a template.
Meets the mininum terrain requirements.
Build your terrain when you have completed your skin(s) to your liking.
