Title: Decided to play around just flying...
Post by: streakeagle on December 30, 2001, 08:20:00 PM
I was trying out 3d graphics visor offline (what a view!) and decided to sharpen my inverted flying skills. Then it hit me: the top gun maneuver  ;) So I did inverted circles with the offline P-51s for a while.

Just for kicks 'cause I love the Mustang  :)

Can you tell me more about this "3D graphics visor"?  Do you have a web address perhaps?

Was goofing about with a digital camera and got a similar effect to that P51B shot here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/revvin/F4U4.jpg) (warning quite large pic)

Yup, digital camera does wonders when it comes to making "screenshots" look more like real life photos.

As for a link to the 3-d visor stuff: http://www.wicked3d.com/inside.html (http://www.wicked3d.com/inside.html)

I also made a short commentary on the results in another thread: http://www.hitechcreations.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=10&t=001592 (http://www.hitechcreations.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=10&t=001592)

The visor I am trying is about a year old and was loaned to me by a friend who just had it laying in a box of unused but really neat computer junk left by his brohter that died in the spring.
