BELFAST - Britain announced Monday it would strip power from Northern Ireland's coalition government and resume administrative responsibility.

Northern Ireland Secretary John Reid said the suspension of the power-sharing administration would take effect Monday at midnight local time. He said it would last indefinitely. "
