I bet you Floridans could still screw it up. :D
-
South Floridians ya mean. :) I guarantee you that 85+% of those causing the problems were nothing more than old transplants from up north. :D
-
who is Saddam ?
-
Uh no, the voters in the Iraqi elections had quite a few options to choose from.
For example
A. Saddam Hussein
B. Hussein, Saddam
C: S. Hussein
D: Hussein, S.
E. Death
:D

South East FL at that .. otherwise known as little cuba :)
I'm sure Broward county would still ask for a recount with only one person on the ballot

I hope Saddamamazinhunk enjoys his electorial victory.
It will be his last.

Hey guess what? Another leader ran similar elections like this a way back, and he received tremendous widespread national support - 99.8% voting Ja! Dont quite remember exactly what happend with that fella but I heard he went on and made a name for himself in the "people" business.

Getting there.
BTW: I heard on the radio today that the voters have to put their address and phone number on the back of the ballot. I think this is a FANTASTIC way for a dictator to throw an election!
-
we could have used those ballot counters in FL 12/2000 :)
how many millions of ballots did they hand count over night?

What is funny is the Iraquis are claiming 100% voter turnout with 100% of the votes going to SH. Even funnier is the news services claims of knowing the votes of several people that voted otherwise. Even assuming the second part is made up, 100% turnout and 100% approval? Who would ever believe that?

Are you implying that the Iraqi government is anything but forthcoming and honest?
Seriously though, either Saddam's PR people are complete idiots or they just aren't trying very hard.
Iraqi Citizen: 100%? Are you sure.
Iraqi PR guy: *Blam*

The same people who believed all the Democrats wanted in FL was a fair and accurate count!:D

LOL If he was smart he wouldv'e faked results. to make it look like real election. He shouldv'e said 66% for me and 33% voted against. But then again who ever said he was smart.
-
Saddam polled 100%, but that figure in isolation means nothing, without considering all the other obvious factors. A bit like an Aces High score sheet, really. ;)

....and the Iraqi poplulation, emboldened that as many as 33% oppose Saddam, begin to rally for his ouster... Nah, he did the right thing Rod.
Anyone read where every ballot is numbered to correspond to the voter's ID card? That makes me believe he really DID get 100% of the votes cast. In fact I imagine voter turnout was 100% too.

Ok now nuke Iraq everyone voted Saddam anyway.
