Hiya.
Well after nearly 6 years of Warbirds I have had enough. I have been flying AH offline for a couple of weeks, and I love it. I am very excited about learning a new sim,and man o man there seems to be a lot to learn here. I am hoping to join a USAAF unit preferably a P-47 outfit. After years and years of being a Luftwaffe Adjutantant or Kommodore, I am happily looking forward to learning to fly the "JUG" especially, and of course P-51s too. I really like the fact that you guys have the Tempest and Typhoon, and a update is due out soon with new airplanes!! Well YEEHAA!!!!!!
Anyway boys there a new dweeb in town, just look for the lost guy with the smoking airplane! :D
BTW what program are you guys using to view your gun camera footage?

Welcome to the asylum Löwe. I would say I think you will enjoy AH but then again that is rather redundant since you liked it enough to switch from WB.
As for gun camera footage, I believe the default key to start recording film is alt-r. A red upper case "R" should appear in the upper corner of your screen. Do an alt-R again to turn it off.
To view the combat film just exit out to your opening screen and you will see a buttom for FILM. Click on that. You will go into the tower of the offline arena in the generic pac map. Don't let this fool you .. you are in the film room.
Simply bring up your clip board click on open .. select a film and hit okay. They click on the play arrow button. And the film will start rolling.
You might also want to click on trails for better analyzing your films and of course F3 for external views.
Look forward to either bumping into you if you fly Rooks or fighting against you if you fly Bishops or Knights.

Welcome, Lowe! You'll love it here.

Welcome to the dark side, you will be forever changed. :)
This sim, while very similar to WB in some manners, will take you a little while to adjust. Give it time, and soon you will think this is the ONLY game in town.
Read the help files. When I came over from WB, I used the keyboard mapper to adjust some keys to the same as WB, helps the early learning curve.
Any questions, feel free to ask me, or just about anyone else online.

Hiya Lowe...
To view films there is a button on your clipboard.
As for a P47 outfit there are a few guys that have them as pics on their signatures. MarkAT, and Lephturn are two that I know of that like 47's. Send them a private message or check their "profile" for an e-mail.

<S> and welcome, Lowe! I flew with you as 'pen-vk' in IV/JG3 in WarBirds back before you went to form JG-51. If you want to fly the jug, look my squad up--we're kinda crazy about that plane. ;)

Hehe, Sancho's squad is a bit crazy, period :D.
Welcome Lowe. I am the ISP for these nutjobs that call themselves pilots. If you have any connect issues, just drop a line in the Internet Forum, or find me online. Be glad to help out.

I am the CO fo the 63rd FS here in AH, we are a sister squad to daff's 56th FG in WB's. As sancho has alluded to.. We fly the p-47...alot :) We even flew it before it became cool to fly it...heehee.
Look us up in the arena's if you would enjoy flying the P-47 with a wingman.

Oh Man!! The 56th may get another good pilot!!
Stick with the LW iron Lowe, ya don't need that silver plated stuff!
Anyways, welcome to Aces High and have fun for there are some great 47 and 51 squadrons here. Trust me I know I run into them all the time! :(
Remember to fly Knights! Rooks are OK, but their sheep smell perfume-like, and if you fly Bishes make sure you snip your testicles off before ya fly. :)
