God, they sure knew how to build em ugly.
Macchi 202/205 and the Reggaine (or however thats spelled) Re-2005 were the only decent looking planes the Italians built I think.

Man O Man I love em:) all, I realy like their lines, I spent more time in front of the MC 200 at the airforce museum than any other plane, I gues it is the beauity and the eye thing, I would do the rat to given a chance:)

I read about a combat between RAI and RAF in Tuck's biography. He said that the CR42 was very maneuvrable, and that his Hurris got into dogfights with the biplanes, and didn't have the easiest time of it. We REALLy should have the CR42 in Aces High!!!!!

i'd bet Hurri drivers, since they could out turn every axis bird they encountered before the Cr 42, probably tried that tactic even though they were > 70 MPH faster...anyone know of biplane vs. biplane WWII encounters (i only have read of one, in which a swordfish splashed 2 gulible Cr 42 pilots)? i'd love to know how the Cr 42 did against the Glaiator
