Title: 50K Goon?

Earlier tonight, I was bored--numbers in the CT were nearly 4 to 1 and the MA was night, so I took up a Goony in the MA and thought I'd climb to 30k and fly over someone's base until I got shot down.

Well, I was nearing 30k, barely climbing, so I turned towards a base.  During the turn, I started speeding up while climbing, and when I straightened out I was doing over 200 mph with a rate of climb over 1.5K.

I continued rocketing up, even doing slow 180 degree turns, until I reached just over 50K--still doing over 200 mph and climbing at 1.5k.  Then my wings fell off, and I went spiraling into the ground.

Is this a known 'feature', or was something very weird going on?

LOL  I kinda doubt this happened, I think he is setting up some guys who will just have to try it.   Imagine, a bunch of the curious with high altitude goonies.  He's probably gonna be up there in a 190 or jug shooting them down and laughing like hell, while mumbling "suckers".   :)

some time ago I said on shannel 1 that some guys can have my perk points. I told them to type <perk transfer_ammo>  I seen a few bites :)

Only 50k?I thought the Goony bug was higher and would also transform you into a F4 Falcon with sidewinders for a quickly killed base at safe range and then drunk drop..Eww...I need another brew...  :cool:

Noo musta have been one of those "Scotty, beam me Up!" thingies...

By the way, why didn't you drop some troops at 50k? They would be hanging on the chutes even now  :)

Hate to burst your collective bubbles, but it sounds suspiciously like he got caught up in a strong wind layer that can be set in the arena tools.

The CM's don't have any privs in the CT, so it was either HTC or one of those CT boys who probably set it.

Or maybe it was aliens.  ;)
